XOXO, LA: A Love Letter From The Maine

XOXO, LA: A Love Letter From The Maine

The return to live music has been a welcome one, and while everyone had their artist they were waiting for, we were waiting for The Maine’s full return with their new album XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time. When they announced this special night in Los Angeles featuring Chloe Lilac and American Teeth, we knew it was going to be a night to remember.

Chole Lilac And American Teeth

Starting was Chloe Lilac, an up-and-coming artist with a lot of bite with her bark. She performed her new song ’19’ and a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since You Been Gone’ which was incredibly well received by the crowd and got the vibe started.

Up next was American Teeth, an alternative three-piece looking to be your new obsession. Introducing us to songs ‘Fix You’ and ‘Barred Out ‘(featuring Twin XL’s Cameron), they had us dancing and moving along to their energetic tunes. They’re a band to watch, considering they had fans in the front row who flew out to see them for this show.

“The Maine” Act

Finally, it was The Maine’s turn, greeted by a buzzing crowd eager to receive the beautiful music and visuals to their eyes and ears. Playing longtime hits ‘Am I Pretty?,’ ‘Everything I Ask For’ and ‘Another Night on Mars’ alongside new favorites ‘High Forever,’ ‘Pretender’ and ‘Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful’ (for the very first time live) exceeded expectations for the night. You could feel the energy in the room was not just excitement and love, but eagerness for more and more after 18 long months without live music.
