As the weather gets colder with the snowy peaks, you will want to curl up at home with a cup of hot chocolate, warm muffins, and a binge on all the exciting holiday movies and shows. We have gathered a few of the most anticipated new movies and TV shows that you wouldn’t want to miss. Let’s get started!
Diary of A Wimpy Kid
Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the fifth installment in the movie franchise, is directed by Swinton Scott and written by Jeff Kinney. It will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on 3rd December. We can not wait any longer as we are eager to read (or watch) the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The story centers around a young boy named Greg Heffley. Greg is a skinny, ambitious boy who dreams of being famous and wealthy and living a luxurious life. His story focuses on his journey of coping with middle school life with his best friend, Rowley. However, chaos lurks everywhere as Greg faces mischief, embarrassment, and other typical middle school pitfalls.
The movie chronicles a coming-of-age story documented in a diary, (oh sorry, we meant journal), about the struggles a young boy faces in life while trying to figure out what matters most. He learns the value of true friendship and appreciates the satisfaction that comes from standing up for what is right by experiencing all the humorous, humiliating, and catastrophic events portrayed in the trailer. Are you ready to go down the adventure hill once again filled with laughs and some moral lessons?

Prepare to witness some finger-licking deliciousness and a food extravaganza, unlike anything you have ever tasted before. It is a food festival that you absolutely cannot miss out on from the comfort of your couch!
Foodtastic, hosted by Emmy award-winning actress Keke Palmer, will exclusively premiere this new series on Disney+ next month. The 11-episode series features highly skilled and talented food artists who will create elaborate art scenes and monumental sculptural works entirely from everyday foods such as vegetables, fruits, butter, cheese, grains, and much more. All the episodes revolve around Disney-owned properties, such as Star Wars, Toy Story, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Beauty and the Beast, The Avengers, etc. It will be fascinating to see what these food artists will create and how they will amaze us with their outstanding culinary and artistic skills.
The Simpsons In Plusaversary
The Simpsons in Plusaversary, a Disney+ Day premiere, will air exclusively on the streaming service on Friday, November 12. The Simpsons are one of the most beloved shows of all time, especially with Homer Simpson, a working-class father who deals with comical situations and the ups-and-downs of life with his dysfunctional family in Springfield. In this new short, The Simpsons throw a Disney+ Day party, and everyone, except Homer, is invited. The Simpsons in Plusaversary is the third Disney+ short from The Simpsons in a series highlighting its marquee brands and titles. The previously released shorts- The Force Awakens from Its Nap and The Good, The Bart, and The Loki are available to watch on Disney+.
We assure you, Plusaversary is the party of the year you won’t want to miss. Have you set your reminders for November 12 to hop on Disney+?
Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.
Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. is an American family medical comedy-drama developed by Kourtney Kan. It is based on the popular series Doogie Howser, M.D. and follows Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy balancing a budding medical career and life as a teenager. Despite not being a direct continuation of Doogie Howser, M.D., the characters often refer to the previous series as a television show throughout episodes.
Lahela strives to make the most of her teen years by setting her own path, of course, with the help of her loving family and friends. Being fans of multiple medical drama series such as Grey’s Anatomy, Mash, General Hospital, and Nurse Jackie, you cannot imagine the excitement we feel about binge-watching Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. The stride, however, is not as straightforward as it seems. Dr. Clara Hannon is her mother and boss who guides her as she juggles her personal and professional relationships. With her father helping her stay grounded, she has a cute group of friends and siblings who keep bringing new drama and adventures into her life as the episodes unfold.
Do you remember Alberto? Are you ready to meet our beloved Disney friend again? Short and sweet, Alberto will have his own Disney+ spinoff titled Ciao Alberto, set to release on November 12. He is a character we first met in Luca earlier this year. Alberto is half sea monster, half teenager, and best friends with Luca. As a child, he endured loneliness and navigated his life alone. Despite these obstacles, Alberto enjoys having a good time and dreams of riding a Vespa someday.
We learn about Albertos’ new life when he writes a postcard to his best friend, Luca, and tells him about his new surroundings throughout the short series. He tells him about Massimo in Portorosso, his new job, and catching bulky fish, thus proclaiming himself as “the greatest fisherman in the world.” There will be ups and downs with comical twists as Alberto makes his way through life learning new things. It will be fascinating to watch how everything unfolds. We instantly fell in love with him, so it is great to see him flourish and thrive in the new short.
Home Sweet Home Alone
Christmas arrived earlier this year, and we aren’t definitely complaining about it! Disney+ is coming with an all-new adventure comedy, Home Sweet Home Alone, a reboot of the classic holiday film from 1990, Home Alone. Taking a look at the trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone, an upcoming Christmas comedy, the movie looks sweet, funny, and intriguing. Max Mercer, a 10-year-old little boy, must defend his house from the danger exacerbated by two sly burglars, Pam and Jeff, after his family accidentally left him behind alone as they went to Japan on holiday. The abandoned child sets up his household equipment to do maximum damage to the robbers after a sequence of hilarious events. However, it doesn’t take too long for Max to realize there is no place like home.
Home Alone is a classic that is appreciated by all generations, no doubt! So, we are sure Home Sweet Home Alone will make it to your Christmas movie list this year, and you’ll have a great time watching it!
And lastly, where are our Marvel fans? We have an early Christmas present for you. Hawkeye, the new American television MCU miniseries created by Jonathan Igla, will premiere on Disney+ exclusively on November 24. The release date and first official image of the Disney+ series were announced over the summer, featuring Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in a Christmas-themed training room (there was our first clue).
This miniseries also fulfills a long-standing wish of Marvel fans as this time, Hawkeye (Clint Barton) teams up with Kate Bishop, another well-known archer from Marvel Comics. We will see Clint Barton train a new hero to follow in his footsteps. Hawkeye is attacked during Christmas in New York City for strange reasons, so he joins forces with his archer friend Kate Bishop to solve the mystery. As the clock ticks, he only has a limited amount of time to solve the mystery. The series includes several new characters, and it looks like Hawkeye fans are in for a treat. Disney+ will debut two episodes on the day of release as a bonus gift for fans. A total of six episodes, the series concludes on December 22.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and sign up for Disney+! You won’t want to miss these festive releases this winter. Also, let us know your thoughts as these mysteries unfold. If you like fluffy, soft content with unicorns and sparkles, stay tuned as we will bring you more exclusive content.
