6 Republic Records Artists We’d Love To See John Legend Collaborate With

Republic Records is a pretty legendary label, so it’s no surprise that it’s now home to the amazing John Legend! John has been a massive force in the music industry since his 2014 single ‘All of Me,’ dedicated to his wife Chrissy Teigen, stole the hearts of fans worldwide. We at THP love how John is never afraid to push himself and try new things, whether it’s with his family or his stunning music!

I am excited to partner with Republic Records in this next chapter of my career. Everyone at the label has been so wonderful to work with. I am thrilled to take this new artistic and creative journey with them and look forward to sharing new music with people soon.

John Legend

Now that he has a slew of new labelmates, here are some artists we’d love to hear a collab with!

Ariana Grande

We know we already got ‘Beauty and the Beast’ a few years ago, but John and Ariana are such a power duo! They became great friends as judges on The Voice, so why not celebrate their connection with an original duet? Maybe they could recruit their fellow judges Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson to hop on and turn it into an ensemble.

John and Republic’s rising singer-songwriter Camylio are both soulful artists who talk about love and loss in their lyrics, so they’d be an amazing pair for a new song. They’d probably get to bond over their experiences and find a way to turn pain into something beautiful!

Julia Michaels

A little-known fact about Julia Michaels is that she wrote John’s 2016 song ‘Surefire!’ We’d love to hear their gorgeous voices come together for a duet of ‘Surefire’ or a new song entirely. Between the two of them, we know the lyrics would be unreal.

Post Malone

Posty is the king of unexpected collabs – we mean, did anyone see ‘Take What You Want’ with features like Ozzy Osbourne, coming? He and John would be an unlikely duo, but bringing these two hitmakers together would surely result in some magic. John would be the perfect addition to Post’s ‘motley crew!’

Swedish House Mafia

John is best known for brooding pop anthems like ‘All of Me’ and ‘Love Me Now,’ so it’d be cool to see him go with the electronic anthem! Who better to do that with than the guys of Swedish House Mafia? We could totally see a collab between them becoming a huge hit on the radio.

Taylor Swift

We bawled our eyes out when Taylor brought John out as a special guest on her 1989 World Tour in 2014! They sounded so magical singing ‘All of Me’ together and we need more of this duo. Their combined vocal power and romantic lyrics would be too much for us to handle, but that’s a sacrifice we’re willing to make.

Which of these collabs would you most want to hear? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
