Taylor Swift is rerecording her first five studio albums, and she’s turning the process into a celebration of her work and connection with fans! To make the project even more special, she’s adding “Songs from the Vault” to each album, showcasing songs that didn’t make the original record. The Vault songs on Red (Taylor’s Version) complete the album’s whirlwind story of heartbreak, independence, and finding who you are with Taylor’s signature lyrics and imagery.
Between the optimistic ‘Forever Winter,’ the escapism fantasy ‘Run’ (featuring Ed Sheeran), and the elusive ‘All Too Well (Ten Minute Version),’ the Vault songs expand on the album’s themes and offer something for everyone. Songs like ‘Message In A Bottle’ are pop masterpieces you won’t believe Taylor kept hidden all this time, while ‘I Bet You Think Of Me’ (featuring Chris Stapleton) has a country twang that will instantly get stuck in your head. And that’s not even mentioning the emotional ‘Nothing New,’ which finally sees her working with Phoebe Bridgers while describing what women in the music industry go through. We love that Taylor gave us so many interesting collabs while also letting us peek into more of what was going on in her life during that time.
