Hello, honeybees, and welcome to the latest edition of Binge-Worthy Buzz, our weekly series where we recommend a list of new things to watch to all of you movies and TV shows lovers, like us. We have lots of awesome shows to talk about this week, so let’s cut the chit-chat and dive in!
Dexter: New Blood
Everybody’s favorite serial killer is back! Or one of them, at least, we don’t know if you prefer Dexter, Hannibal, Freddie Krueger, or any others, but the point is: Dexter is back. But not as Dexter Morgan, after his apparent death, he successfully lived under a fake identity for a decade, but, as usual, the past comes back to haunt us when we least expect it. Parts of his old life come back at the same time that Dexter gets involved with a very dangerous inhabitant of the town he’s been hiding in. The series premiered on November 7 and will have 10 episodes.
From the East Coast of the USA, we’re hopping over to South Korea for the next item on our list. When Lee Se-Won was a kid, he lost his mother in a tragic accident. Years later, he’s a successful brain surgeon. One day, a mysterious figure asks him for help in finding out information in a dead man’s brain. Lee Se-Won accepts the challenge and the story takes off from there. Currently streaming on Apple TV, the k-drama is a great choice for lovers of mystery and medical dramas alike.
That’s right, the iconic Judge Judy has returned to the screen. Guess she realized we couldn’t be without her for too long, huh? Well, we’re not complaining at all! Catch us sitting in front of the TV to watch Judge Judy be her awesome self yet again, this time on IMDb TV. Also, the first season of Judy Justice has only 11 episodes, so you can binge-watch it in a single weekend if you want. Or a single day if you’re up for the challenge.
Star Trek: Prodigy
Star Trek? But animated? Sign us up! The setting this time is the U.S.S. Protostar, an abandoned Starfleet ship in the Delta Quadrant found by a group of young aliens who need to learn how to exist in the same ship without having a new conflict every 5 minutes while they make their way to the Alpha Quadrant. With only four episodes so far, the show is available on Paramount+ and we can’t wait to see what this new Starfleet crew comes up with in the future.
And the last item on our list is one for the musical fans! Queens has four former pop stars of the 90s coming back together in order to get back the fame they once had. Except they’re fully grown adult women now, not the young and careless 20-something-year-olds they once were. The show is currently airing on ABC.
And this is the end of this week’s Binge-Worthy Buzz! We hope you’ve enjoyed it and stay around to read more! If you want, you can comment your thoughts or tweet us @TheHoneyPOP!
