BTS are officially back, and so are ARMYs! This past weekend in LA, BTS took the stage for their highly-anticipated BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in front of a live audience for the first time in nearly two years. The adorable moments, iconic choreography, gorgeous outfits, and fun surprises are practically endless. We’ve rounded up a few of our top faves to reflect on as we wait for the conclusion to the four-show series on December 2 and December 3!

1. Finally Seeing The Purple Ocean After 2 Years!
After two long, difficult years of change, uncertainty, and empty online concerts, perhaps the most meaningful part of it all is seeing our beautiful purple ocean once again. There’s nothing better than seeing a stadium lit up with flickering ARMY bombs dancing along to the music that connects us all!

2. MEGTAN

After Megan Thee Stallion was unable to attend the AMAs and perform ‘Butter‘ with the boys, she made her surprise appearance at SoFi Stadium even sweeter! The happiness on all of their faces was infectious, and seeing them finally interact in a performance of such a fabulous remix was so much fun.
3. Jin’s Pigtails
On night two, Jin took inspo from the world-famous Netflix K-drama Squid Game with his adorable pigtails! JK had fun playing with them on stage, and pictures and videos of ‘mugunghwa’ Jin blew up across social media. So cute!

4. Performing All OT7 Songs

One of the best parts about the concert is the stacked setlist! With songs spanning BTS’ career from ‘DOPE,’ to ‘Blood Sweat & Tears,’ to fan faves like ‘Silver Spoon,’ ‘EPILOGUE: Young Forever’ and recognizable smash hits like ‘Boy With Luv’ and the queen herself, ‘Spring Day,’ all the way to their most current single and concert namesake, ‘Permission to Dance.’ This show has something for everyone. And the coolest part is, they’re all OT7 songs, meaning all seven members performing together the whole time.

5. ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’ + ‘Black Swan’ + ‘FAKE LOVE’

Speaking of the setlist, this particular section was one of the most anticipated to see live! This medley presents three of BTS’ most artistically, sonically unique, and aesthetically pleasing songs and encapsulates them all in one. Of course, their energy and stage presence during the show is always on another level, but everything just hits during this particular part.
i will take this black swan > bst > fake love transition to my grave i will never get over it

6. Meeting Anderson.Paak

In a backstage moment documented on singer Anderson.Paak’s Instagram story, we got to see him and his family meet BTS pre-show. It’s always nice to see artists showing mutual love and support for each other. And it was an adorable interaction captured as both the family and the boys’ excitement was infectious, drumming up even more hype for the show to begin. Plus, getting that behind-the-scenes peek at our boys gearing up for this monumental concert was electrifying!
7. Selling Out SoFi Stadium
Of course, we’re not surprised BTS is still breaking records left and right. But it’s a pretty remarkable feat that the boys sold out not one but four nights at a stadium before the tickets even reached general public sales! Obviously, BTS has been sorely missed and remains the most relevant, in-demand artist in the music industry today.
There is NO WAY in HELL anyone else is doing it like BTS. Selling out 4 days at SoFi – 50,000 each day?! And the tickets sold out before the could sell to the general public. Who else does that?! I love them so much, they deserve all the love in the world @BTS_twt #BTSSoFiStadium pic.twitter.com/fcBV0PACdJ

8. Opening With ‘ON’ & Ending With ‘Permission to Dance’

The choice to open the show with their lead single from the Map of the Soul: 7 era and end with their most recent, most joyful single featuring a touching music video that signals a better future on the horizon was one that didn’t go unnoticed. By opening with ‘ON,’ they start with a bang and finally get to show off the hard work they put into that comeback. And then, by the end, ‘Permission to Dance’ sums up the emotional journey from ‘ON’ to now, with joy, laughter, hope, and obviously, lots of dancing!
this is one of my favorite videos from yesterday – jungkook hyping the dancers and hugging sienna lalau (bts choreographer), then other members of the lab 🥺 pic.twitter.com/WntsNGZvwo

In conclusion, the magic of Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook is unmatched, and we could not be more ecstatic to see them shining onstage once again!
ARMYs, have the most fun as we finish off BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE!
