We don’t know whether we’re crying from happiness or sadness. How have we already reached the end of the Power of Love project?! It felt like just yesterday we were first getting the news of the 2021 project and getting ready for another comeback with Your Choice. But now here we are with SEVENTEEN’s newest release, Power of Love.
Now, we think no one was expecting the track just to be dropped out of nowhere, it caught us all off guard. But besides no warning, we have nothing to complain about because the title track ‘Power of Love’ or ‘Ainochikara’ is everything we could’ve hoped for. This holiday-themed track really delivered the message they wanted to convey. It was a healing sound, expressing plenty of love during this cold winter. The moment we hit play, we knew we were in for a helleva ride, as the vocals SEVENTEEN put into it really had us speechless.
If you’ve been around SEVENTEEN for a while or even just started stanning at the beginning of this project, you can tell how much their vocals have improved, which we didn’t think was possible, yet here we are. ‘Power of Love’ had the group going through effortless harmonies and transitions between each new voice added into the track. Plus, this is the first Winter themed track released by the group, so it was even more special! The MV for the track also had us going through the different settings, with each singing about how we can keep ourselves warm after the cold winter thrown at us. Overall, the settings were just so aesthetically pleasing as most SEVENTEEN MV’s are. *cough* *cough* ‘Fallin’ Flower’ *cough* *cough*.
But that’s not the only thing we got with Power of Love. We also got the Japanese versions of ‘Home’ and ‘Snap shoot!’ Two songs and we were absolutely hooked on when we first heard them. If you haven’t heard the original versions of both songs, we highly recommend you do because it’s just something so comforting that radiates off these tracks. You can find where to stream Power of Love here!

SEVENTEEN never miss with their Japanese releases, and we really applaud that. We went through so much this year with the project. It was all quite ‘Bittersweet.’ And while we have Power of Love on replay, we will be crying in the corner thinking about all the greatness that came out of this much-needed project.
So, Carats and possible new Carats, what did you think about Power of Love? Did you feel the warmth you’ve been needing? Let us know in the comments down below, on Twitter @TheHoneyPop, or talk to us on Facebook and Instagram!
