Is This The List Of Collaborators On Alicia Keys’ KEYS Album Or Our Dream Party Guest List?

Alicia Keys has an extra special holiday present for us this year, in the form of her new double album, KEYS! The project features 26 songs divided into two stunning halves: Originals and Unlocked. And guess what?

Alicia got some of our favorite names in music to appear on the record! She brought back some of her past collaborators, as well as some new faces who haven’t appeared on her discography before. Not gonna lie, kinda jealous we weren’t invited to the studio during the recording process. So let’s take a look at the exciting features on the KEYS album!

Pusha T

On the opening track of the Originals side of the album, Pusha T joins Alicia to talk about spirituality and the importance of being grateful for what you have. We love the confidence and interesting plays on religious imagery on this track! We hope they work together again soon.

Brandi Carlile

We’re always down for a beautiful all-female collab, and Alicia and Brandi Carlile brought us just that! ‘Paper Flowers’ is a stunning statement on living in the moment, even though it can be scary to think about how life is finite. The two previously worked together on October 2020’s ‘A Beautiful Noise’ about the importance of using your voice and standing up against unfairness.

Lil Wayne

Alicia and Lil Wayne pay tribute to the iconic American jazz singer Nat King Cole on the appropriately-named ‘Nat King Cole.’ It’s a celebration of his talent that encourages the listener to be ruthlessly confident in pursuing their own dreams. We love that they used their platforms to spread such an important message! This was their first time appearing on a song together, and we hope they reunite one day.

Khalid & Lucky Daye

On the sleek R&B track ‘Come For Me,’ Alicia, Khalid, and Lucky Daye explore their desires for someone who truly cares about them. We adore the song’s emotional lyrics and think this collab is one for the music history books. And to make it even more star-studded, J. Cole has a writing credit! It’s Alicia’s first collab with Lucky Daye, but it’s her third song with Khalid. He previously appeared on her 2020 track ‘So Done,’ and she returned the favor by appearing on the intro to his latest tape, Scenic Drive
