Tenacious K-Pop group SEVENTEEN, comprised of Hip-Hop Unit: S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon, Vocal Unit: Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan, and Performance Unit: Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino, entered 2021 prepared to conquer and it’s safe to say they succeeded. Their dynamic tracks, passionate performances, and proficient, hands-on creative ability earned them major recognition. From their debut U.S. performance on The Late Late Show With James Corden to their wins at the Asia Artist Awards, this truly was a crowning year for SEVENTEEN.
MTV PUSH Artist
SEVENTEEN was the first-ever K-Pop group to be named MTV’s PUSH artist for the month of December 2021. The MTV spotlight title will allow Carats to get even closer to them with interviews, exclusive performances, and more on the official MTV website. Previous PUSH artists include Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Khalid, and Olivia Rodrigo.
U.S. Chart Achievements And Nominations
Their two EPs released this year, Your Choice and Attacca, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, making them the first K-Pop group to have two No. 1s on Billboard Top Album Sales chart in 2021. First English Song And U.S. Television Debut
Their latest EP Attacca concluded with a fantastic bonus digital track, their first full English song, ‘2 MINUS 1.’ The pop-punk-inspired track was written and composed by the ever-talented trio Joshua, Vernon, and Woozi and performed by dazzling vocalists Joshua and Vernon. This marks the beginning of what is sure to be an even deeper dive into their musical expansion aimed at the Western market. We are living in the era of SEVENTEEN’s global takeover and loving it!

The Late Late Show With James Corden was the first American TV show to be blessed by SEVENTEEN’s spectacular stage presence with their lively performance of ‘Home;Run’ from their EP ;[Semicolon].
They went on to perform at The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, MTV’s See Us Unite for Change, as well as participate in multiple online performances such as the Rolling Stone’s In My Room series and more.
We’re eagerly looking forward to the day we see their world-class synchronization and flawless vocal performances grace the GRAMMY, Billboard, and American Music Award stages. A lot can happen in a year, especially when we’re talking about the always innovative K-Pop group SEVENTEEN.

Asia Artist Awards
The group walked away with major wins at this year’s Asia Artist Awards. SEVENTEEN went home with two awards for “Artist of The Year” and “Fabulous (Singer)” while the leader of their Vocal Unit, Woozi, took home the “Best Producer” award. With their limitless and imaginative talent, we have no doubt there will be more awards to line their shelves with soon enough.
As we look ahead, we can’t help but get excited wondering what new music and special surprises SEVENTEEN is cooking up. Considering everything they accomplished within these twelve months, we are highly expectant of what the group has planned for 2022!
