Miley Cyrus Served Us Musical And Fashion Greatness On New Year’s Eve

Miley Cyrus onstage

On New Year’s Eve, Miley Cyrus brought the party with some help from Pete Davidson and some iconic musical guests on NBC! The show served as a very welcome New Year’s Eve refresher, going up against long-running specials like Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. But Miley and Pete’s youthful vibrance brought a necessary bright spot into the world of holiday TV specials. Headed by SNL‘s Lorne Michaels, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party kicked 2022 off with a bang – and some amazing live performances.

Not only did we get to hear some Miley classics like ‘The Climb,’ sung with Brandi Carlisle, ‘We Can’t Stop,’ and ‘Party in the USA,’ Miley performed flawless covers like Dolly Parton‘s ‘Jolene’ with her sister Noah Cyrus. Plus, as the clock turned to 12, 2022 began with a vibrant rendition of ‘Midnight Sky.’

With support from Pete Davidson as co-host, the show was full of laughs and hilarious skits between musical performances. Despite the masks in the audience and the uncertainty of the future, one thing is for sure, and that’s that Miley’s bright, exuberant talent and energy will never fade. If anything, her star is only continuing to skyrocket.

To frame her magnetic performance abilities and wildly carefree rockstar aura, Miley’s outfits for the show were nothing short of memorable, even with a small malfunction. Styled by Bradley Kenneth, she rocked looks from Dolce & Gabbana, Mugler, YSL, Gucci, and more for the show and pre-recorded skits.

A true performer, Miley took a slight wardrobe malfunction in stride when her Akna top came loose. She barely missed a beat, reappearing in a blink with a red blazer thrown on and quipping “Everybody’s definitely looking at me now,” and “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.” Legend.

In this stunning ensemble, Miley performed a brand-new song (working title, ‘You’) that has yet to even be recorded. The drama and flair of this bold, flowing Gucci dress was perfect for unveiling the soulful song as a New Year’s gift to her fans. The power of the dress only doubled the excitement for what’s to come in a new Miley era, if this sneak peek was anything to go by!

For this legendary duet with her younger sister, Miley stepped out in an eye-catching fringe Atelier Versace look with René Caovilla shoes. It was the perfect complement to Noah’s stunning navy blue moment as the two sisters gave us light and dark visuals.
