‘Friends’ By Moldy Roses
The band’s new EP Friends is out now, waiting for listeners like you. Friends was produced by Kyle McAulay of Spanish Love Songs and mastered by Nick Townsend, who has worked with artists like Cheap Trick, Weezer, Iron Maiden, Bad Religion, Garbage, and Dr. Dre. Of course, this already bodes well for the band in our opinion.
The title track ‘Friends’ is, at its core, a track about growing up and experiencing life with your friends. Quin Manchester, the band’s frontman, says that ‘Friends’ specifically talks about living in an apartment in Fullerton, CA with his best friends and what it was like. We can only imagine what kind of stuff went on, especially with a group of best friends living together. It sounds like a big chaotic dream (but we love it).
Moldy Roses’ sound gives us classic pop-punk vibes through and through, think The Story So Far or Neck Deep. The band has reassured us that pop-punk, in fact, never dies. We love the wave of new pop-punk artists we get to discover, and we just couldn’t wait to share this one with you!
We hope Moldy Roses continues to bloom and we’re looking forward to seeing what direction they’re headed in next. What do you think about the band? Have we convinced you to check out the EP? (The answer should be yes). Hit us up in the comments to chat, or come on down to our Twitter! We love hearing from you!
Don’t miss out on some of our other on-the-rise artists, you’ll be able to say you knew them when!
