Tenille Townes

If you’re looking for a song that embodies the relatability of feeling like you’re the only one not in love, Tenille Townes has the perfect track for you. ‘When’s It Gonna Happen’ makes us want to scream, but also to dance at the same time. (It sounds crazy, but we’re obsessed!) It’s like she stole our diary or something!

Townes is an award-winning country music icon that everyone needs to add to their playlists. Her debut album The Lemonade Stand is full of 12 songs to scream to in your room when no one’s home, ‘You Belong With Me’ style. She reminds us of debut Taylor-meets-Miranda-Lambert, and we are living for it.

Sometimes we all want a song that expresses pain but still has a nice groove to it, and to that, we say ‘Ready To Love You’ is the perfect song. When we first listened to it, we couldn’t tell if we wanted to dance or cry, so we simply chose both. (It was definitely an odd sight, but it was fun!)

The sound is insane, and the lyrics hit close to home. We here at The Honey POP have a special love for one-of-a-kind artists, and Mikayln is our new favorite! There’s something about her vibe and her astonishing talent that we just can’t get enough of. We are in love with her!

Have you ever wanted to feel like you’re living a coming of age movie? (Be honest, we know we definitely have.) ‘Breathe’ fully takes us to that place. It’s like we’re driving down a deserted road, and the wind is blowing as we drive past the ocean. It feels like we’ve lived the experience solely by listening to this song.

The song is so pure and raw, and it flows like silk. Arctic Lake has a gift, and we’re so grateful that they’re sharing it with the world. We couldn’t ask for anything better to add to our playlist than this alternative pop duo, so we won’t. Instead, we’ll encourage you to add them to your playlist as well!

Jennie Harluk

Jennie Harluk is the perfect mix of Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo, and we are addicted to her voice. She has such a soft tone that makes the lyrics that much more powerful. Her recent song ‘Be Your Friend’ reminds us of ‘Sign of The Times,’ and we’re manifesting a collab in the near future.

Something about Jennie Harluk is almost indescribable. We can’t get her off our minds, which is fine because we wouldn’t want that. She is taking over our musical existence, and we’re loving every minute. New music just dropped, and we’re already preparing for the next drop.

Lexie Carroll

We spent about an hour trying to think of the best way to describe Lexie, but we could only come up with Lexie Carroll. She has one of those voices you just recognize. We can see it now, we’re sitting in our HQ listening to the radio, and we’ll hear her angelic voice over the radio and go, “Hey! That’s Lexie Carroll!”

Her song ‘racing raindrops’ has been the song we hum around the house for days. Her voice is so soft and elegant that the song is so easy to get addicted to. We find ourselves wanting to put it on repeat for hours at a time because it’s just that good. She’s just that good in all honestly.

Cyan Kicks

With COVID roaming around, the concert scene has sort of died down, and we miss it. Thankfully, Cyan Kicks has us covered with their newest banger, ‘Hurricane!’ Not only are we infatuated by their talent, but we’re addicted to the power this song makes us feel. It’s like we’re unstoppable.

We all love sad songs, but we here at The Honey POP love a song we can jump up and down to while playing the air guitar! Cyan Kicks created a masterpiece with this song, and we’re utterly disappointed we can’t like it a million times. (That doesn’t mean we didn’t try cause we did!)
