Here’s Why The Liz Taylor Ring Should Be On Your TBR If You’re A Swiftie

Do you ever read a book and immediately put on a song because you want to live in that moment just a little bit longer? (Of course, you’re reading The Honey POP!) The moment we finished reading The Liz Taylor Ring, ‘Style’ was blaring through our speakers because if anyone would write the epic love anthem of Old Hollywood glamour to make our hearts keep swooning – it’s TSwift. It’s a legendary love story that follows a ring – more on this sparkler later – through tons of drama, angst, and fighting for an epic love story. So, pretty much just another Taylor Swift album, right? 😘

Summary: In 1978, Lizzie Morgan and Ritchie Schneider embark on a whirlwind romance on the bright beaches and glamorous yachts of Long Island. Over the years, their relationship has its share of ups and downs, including a nine-month hiatus that ends with a stunning eleven-carat ring—one that looks just like the diamond Richard Burton gifted Liz Taylor after their own separation. Like the famous couple, despite the drama that would unfold throughout the Schneiders’ marriage, the ring would be there as a symbol of their love…until it wasn’t.

Decades later, when the lost ring unexpectedly resurfaces, the Schneiders’ three children gather under one roof for the first time in years, eager to get their hands on this beloved, expensive reminder of their departed parents. But determining the fate of the heirloom is no simple task, unearthing old wounds and heartaches the siblings can’t ignore. And when the ring reveals a secret that challenges everything they thought they knew about their parents’ epic love story, they’ll have to decide whether to move forward as a family or let the ring break them once and for all.

You are a fan of Old Hollywood allure.

We love Ms. Swift and her old-fashioned glamour that she constantly reinvents and makes current, which Brenda Janowitz did with The Liz Taylor Ring. If you’re a Swiftie and love to take current and past trends, you’ll love getting fashion ideas from this book.

Okay, let’s talk about THAT rock…

Holy guacamole! First of all, we learned that the Elizabeth Taylor Diamond is a real diamond ⬆️, and our mind is blown! Seriously… 🤯 Also, how gorgeous is she? Those brows… This book was inspired by her jewelry and little by her on-again, off-again romantic love with Richard Burton.

It feels like something familiar, yet something completely new.

We read a lot here at The Honey POP, and this book reminded us of some of our favorite authors: Taylor Jenkins Reid (the heartache), Katherine St. John (the drama), Jessica Anya Blau (the prose), and Colleen Hoover (the twists). This book is a family drama, a love story, and an emotional ride that can’t be compared to anything else.

Unexpected feels.

We all remember listening to the ‘All Too Well (10 minute version) (Taylor’s version)’ and getting the gush of emotion, then bursting into tears. Overwhelming moments happen while reading this book. It’s happy tears. It’s sad tears. It’s all the feels.

Janowitz gives you those first listen feels because this love story is epic. It has to be – it’s over a massive diamond! Told through the past and present lens, this family drama completely sweeps you away into their lives. You’ll root for Lizzie and Ritchie to fall in love repeatedly because you don’t want them to go out style. 💋

The Liz Taylor Ring by Brenda Janowitz is out February 1st and is available for preorder now.
