It’s ‘Never Really Over’ for Katy Perry‘s Las Vegas Residency, Katy Perry:PLAY, as the super-league songstress announces new summer dates! We couldn’t be more excited she’s back, and the visuals are bigger and brighter than ever!
Back by popular demand, Resorts World Theatre has just announced an extension to Katy’s larger-than-life residency. With 16 new dates being added between May 27 – August 13, 2022 fans have another chance to catch the visual spectacle.

As well as general tickets for the 5,000 capacity venue, packages include exclusive merchandise, VIP experiences, and even a meet and greet with the superstar herself! We know the Katy Cats are so excited right now, us too!
The Experience
The show has been a hit with both spectators and the media since its launch last December. Perry performs amongst bright, eye-catching sets decorated by neon flowers, whimsical mushrooms, giant snails, and even toilet rolls. Yes, you heard us right, toilet rolls.
Katy Perry has always known how to put on a show and this residency has been no different. Performing all her well-loved hits, the fun-loving show is packed full of memorable moments for audiences.
And let’s talk about those outfits. Katy has been a style icon since she first burst onto the scene with ‘I Kissed a Girl’ in 2008, and she did not disappoint with PLAY! Here are some of our favorite looks from the show:
Zaldy
Filipino-American designer Zaldy (a favored RuPaul collaborator) is responsible for three of these iconic looks. The first is this red vinyl jumpsuit complete with tasseled chaps and a mushroom cap headpiece. Performing in front of a 12′ tall snail, this look is one to remember!

We also adore this quirky dress, covered in ring pulls and crushed cans. What do we love most about this look though? Reminiscent of the ‘California Girls’ whipped cream cans moment, Katy literally takes a break mid-show to pour herself a cheeky drink from one of the cans! Hats off to Zaldy for this one.

Heather Picchiottino
In a nod to the pandemic and toilet paper shortages of 2020, Act 2 gave us Katy singing on top of a 16′ toilet and she did it in this beautiful Heather Picchiottino ensemble. The sparkling white mini dress we showed you at the beginning of this piece was then layered with this gorgeous bubble jacket and the headpiece swapped for a matching bubble headband.

Johnny Wujek
Katy has had a long relationship with designer Johnny Wujek and it’s clear to see why. In one of the final looks of the night, Katy absolutely shines in this yellow and orange rhinestone dress matched with opera gloves and silver strap on heels.

Katy closes the show in this rainbow gown, giving fans the ultimate finale. The entire show really encapsulates the fun and larger-than-life Katy Perry we all know and love. It is amazing to see her back on stage and shining in a way only she can.

Will you be ‘Waking up in Vegas?’ Tickets and VIP packages are on sale now and are available via AXS and Resorts World Las Vegas, so don’t miss out!
Get a taste of the residency’s fun and flare with Katy’s shroom-tastic performance of her latest single, ‘When I’m Gone,’ on SNL.
