Hello there, honeybees, how are you? We’re doing good and we’re kicking off the month of February with some sweet, sweet recommendations for anyone looking for new things to watch in their free time. Let’s get started with this Binge-Worthy Buzz!
Wait a second, a K-Drama? On Disney+? Is this heaven? We think so. Yes, folks, as you know, we here at THP love ourselves some K-Dramas, so hearing about the new one about to drop on Disney+ made our entire week. But what is Snowdrop about? The story starts when a wounded man (Jung Hae-In) wanders into the dorms of a women’s university and instead of running the other way, Eun Yeong-ro (Jisoo) decides to help him. This is where a tale of forbidden romance and great risks starts. You can bet we’ll be binge-watching all 16 episodes as soon as they’re available on February 9.
Charli XCX: Alone Together
We know we’ve recommended Charli’s documentary around here before, but we’ll keep talking about it as many times as we can for the rest of time. It’s just that good and special and it truly shows how much love flows between her and her Charli’s Angels. The documentary’s main storyline follows the making of her 2020 album how i’m feeling now, but definitely, the best part is all the love we can feel through the screen. What are you waiting for? Go watch this real-life angel on Hulu right now!
February 4 will be quite a day for movie theaters everywhere because Moonfall will be released on that date. So basically the world is ending (again) in this movie and the key to saving it is apparently in the hands of two former astronauts and a conspiracy theorist. The wonderful trio of protagonists is played by Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and John Bradley, and judging by the trailer, we’re in for a treat! Time to grab the popcorn, folks!
The Wheel Of Time
Okay, so this one has been out for a while now, but a second season was announced, so we’re here to tell you that you should watch the first eight episodes before the new ones come out. The Wheel Of Time tells the story of a group of powerful women, the Aes Sedai, who can use magic and are looking for the reincarnation of a powerful entity, the Dragon Reborn, who can either save the world or destroy it forever. We can’t stop watching this one.
Pam & Tommy
The sheer fact that this series stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan should be enough to convince you to watch it on Hulu immediately, but we’re nice so we’ll give you even more reasons. Set during the distant time when the internet was taking baby steps and people had even less idea what they were doing with it, Pam & Tommy is based on a true story involving Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. Let’s put it this way: a fairly intimate video of the couple gets stolen from their home (in VHS form, mind you) and ends up on the internet. In 1997. Yeah, things got wild. The first three episodes of the show are already available on Hulu, with the other five coming up weekly.
How I Met Your Father
If you watched any TV during the 2000s and 2010s, you remember the iconic How I Met Your Mother. You know, the show where Ted Mosby spends ten seasons telling his children how he met and broke up with multiple women until he met “the one,” a.k.a. their mother. Now, years later, we’re getting a new version of that, but this time it’s Hilary Duff’s Sophie telling her kid about how she met their father in the age of technology and online dating. One little thing we love about the show is how it’s a different story but it still has elements from the original, such as the apartment Lily, Marshall, and Ted lived in still being part of the show. Episodes are coming out weekly, and there are currently four of them available on Hulu.
And these have been our picks for this week. Tell us your thoughts on them in the comments or tweet us @thehoneypop!
