The title track off his latest EP of the same name brings introspective lyrics to life. His musical tone captures a range of emotions and aims each note right at our hearts. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that he plays this stirring song to open up Ben Rector’s shows!
“I never say no when they asked if I need the approval
But lately I’m stretched so thin I can see right through
Never thought about what I want just followed and listened”
Scott is quickly becoming a king of love songs, listen to this track and you’ll know exactly what we mean. His lyrics are heartfelt, honest, and sweeter than caramel. His music is the kind anyone who hears it will enjoy.
“I put my arm ’round your shoulder
To see if I could pull you closer
And I didn’t wanna say it
But honestly thought of growing older”
First dance wedding songs are hard to find but this track may just be the perfect candidate. The sweet tune is an ode to the simple moments of being in love, not just the big flashy moments that everyone sees. We already anticipate his music becoming a staple of pop culture and can’t wait for that moment to come.
“It’s not just highs and lows, and champagne toast
I’ve come to know that love’s not only the best days
Or the worst days
Love is the Tuesdays”
