Machine Gun Kelly And Halsey Gave Us Super Performances At Bud Light’s Super Bowl Music Fest

It seems like the whole world is buzzing about the Super Bowl nonstop in February, but if you’re anything like us at THP, you’re more excited about the musical events surrounding it! Between the star-studded halftime show and Bud Light’s Super Bowl Music Fest, there’s no shortage of awesome tunes and unforgettable sets to check out. On February 10th, Machine Gun Kelly and Halsey teamed up to take over the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center, for a night of hits, pyro, and rock ‘n’ roll we haven’t stopped thinking about since.

Everyone knows that a picture is worth a thousand words, and we could go on forever about how much we loved both Kells and Halsey’s performances, including their unmissable special guests. To prevent the damage our fingers would almost definitely attain if we typed up all our thoughts, let’s take a look at some of the most mesmerizing photos captured at the show!

“Everything Is Blue… His Hands, His Jeans,” The Blue Carpet

What better way to kick off an incredible event than with a red carpet? A blue carpet, of course! MGK, Halsey, and even more special guests showed off stunning looks on the blue carpet at the Crypto.com Arena. We loved getting to see stars like Travis Mills and Nick Gross of girlfriends strut their stuff and express their unique style.

Machine Gun Kelly Takes The Stage

The show started with a bang when Kells took the stage with his band and special guest Travis Barker, who took turns playing with MGK’s official drummer, Rook Cappelletty. The setlist was seriously stacked, including hits like ‘concert for aliens’ and ‘bloody valentine.’ He even let his manager’s adorable son, Ashton, join him on stage with a mini guitar!

‘all i know’ Is That We Love MGK x Trippie Redd Songs

Colson’s first surprise of the night was a surprise appearance from his friend and frequent collaborator Trippie Redd, another one of our favorite rappers! They performed two of their songs together: 2019’s ‘Candy’ and 2020’s ‘all i know.’ This is one duo we can’t get enough of, and we’re so excited to have new performances of these amazing jams.

Kells Brings Out Our Favorite ‘emo girl,’ WILLOW

If you’re anything like us at THP, you’ve had MGK and WILLOW’s bop ‘emo girl’ on repeat since it came out, and even more so after they dropped the music video. After a jam-packed week of awesome content, we finally got the song’s first live performance! We “fell in love with” Kells and WILLOW’s infectious energy and their ability to effortlessly command such a massive stage.

‘forget me too,’ But We’ll Never Forget This Performance

The last, but certainly not the least, of Kells’ surprise guests was none other than Halsey! They teamed up to perform their smash ‘forget me too,’ which remains towards the top of our Tickets To My Downfall song ranking. It took a long time for us to finally hear them sing it together, but it was totally worth the wait.

Halsey Heads To The ‘Castle’

After that killer performance of ‘forget me too,’ Halsey took the stage by storm for their own set! With an amazing setlist including hits like ‘Nightmare,’ ‘Without Me,’ and ‘I am not a woman, I’m a god,’ Halsey truly proved her status as a musical god who knows how to put on an unbelievable show.

‘honey,’ We’re So Glad Halsey Is Back!

It’s no secret that Halsey is a jack of all trades, but in the past two years when she hasn’t been able to perform, their time has been occupied with projects like the about-face makeup line and her very first child, Ender! But after the Super Bowl Music Fest, we have proof that Halsey’s still got it. We already knew that, but now we have a definitive proof for anyone who claims otherwise. Now we just need to secure tickets to New York’s Governors Ball to see them again!
