‘No Bad Days’ When We Are Listening To Bastille

Let us just get this out of the way: Give Me The Future is a no skip album. Front to back, Bastille has absolutely bodied this project. We got the biggest boost of serotonin upon listening through for the first time, and we can already tell that we will have Give Me The Future blasting through the speakers all summer long.

To celebrate the release of Give Me The Future, we will be listing our top five favorite songs from the record. Let’s dive in!

‘Plug In…’

‘Plug In…’ is one of those songs we can perfectly picture being played at deafening volumes at a musical festival in (what we hope to be) the near future. There’s almost a futuristic feel to this track, and it’s a standout on Give Me The Future, especially because of how different it feels stylistically.

‘Thelma + Louise’

Thelma + Louise’ is one of our favorite songs that came out in 2021. You get the absolute best vibes, the classic Bastille sound we know and love, and an urge to dance around whatever room you’re in. We have to say this is an easy top two for us on Give Me The Future!

‘No Bad Days’

Vocally, we have to say ‘No Bad Days’ may take the cake for the shining star on Give Me The Future. Oftentimes with Bastille, we get lost in what feel-good music we are listening to that we don’t stop and appreciate what killer vocals we’re hearing!

‘Club 57’

‘Club 57’ is our main character song. We picture ourselves walking through a big city with this song playing in our headphones. We mentioned earlier that ‘Thelma+Louise’ was part of our top two on Give Me The Future – ‘Club 57’ is the other half of that! We have had this track stuck in our heads since the first listen.

‘Shut Off The Lights’

‘Shut Off The Lights’ is going to be a song we have on a loop on nights when we’re going out. The energy perfectly matches what we’re feeling on those nights, and it’s impossible not to have a good time when any Bastille song is playing. This record is such a triumph.
