Binge-Worthy Buzz: We’re Back With Some Sweet New Releases

binge worthy buzz

Hello, honeybees, and welcome to another Binge-Worthy Buzz. Another week has arrived, and with it come a lot of new releases in the realm of movies and TV shows for us to enjoy. Here are some of our favorite new things to watch this week.

Super Turnt

Super Turnt is the story of Libaraiers “Rilla” Stanford (Jamal Woolard), a man who finds out his world has changed completely while he was in prison. But even if his world is upside down, his only goal throughout the story is to take care of his son, Kevin. The movie has had many positive reviews since its release on Amazon Prime and we really think you should check it out if you love a good drama.

Marry Me At Madison Square Garden

Ok, so this is kind of a two-for-one situation. We say this because Marry Me is a movie and Marry Me At Madison Square Garden is a special look behind the scenes of the movie. Marry Me is the story of Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez), a singer who marries a stranger (played by Owen Wilson) by impulse after finding out her fiancée (played by Maluma) cheated on her. Marry Me At Madison Square Garden, however, is a look behind the scenes of one of the most important moments of the movie, which was filmed live during a Maluma concert at, you guessed it, Madison Square Garden. The movie is currently in theaters and also on PeacockTV, where you can also find the Madison Square Garden special.

So Channing Tatum co-directed a movie and is also starring in it. The movie in question is Dog, a buddy comedy starring two former Army Rangers, one human played by Channing Tatum and one Belgian Malinois dog. Army Ranger Briggs (Channing Tatum) and Lulu (the dog) are forced to go on a road trip together down the Pacific Coast in order to attend a funeral. Along the way, the unlikely duo will drive each other crazy and most likely make us laugh as they fight their way through the road. We can’t wait to watch it in theaters on February 18.

The second season of Dollface is now available on Hulu. After a first season of watching Kat Dennings as Jules Wiley reconnecting with friends she neglected after getting into a relationship, the new season comes bringing Jules and her girls on new adventures. Also, Kat Dennings herself described the season as “kinda messy, kinda chaotic,” we can’t wait to binge-watch it and see what she means.

Peckham’s Finest

Peckham’s Finest is a new documental series currently available on Hulu. The whole first season follows the lives of some of the most interesting people of Peckham, in London. Some members of the cast include a choreographer, a salon owner, DJs, a boutique owner, among many others. We don’t know about you, but we admit we sometimes enjoy watching the lives of people with completely different routines from ours.

The life of Princess Diana is always a subject of interest to many. Be it because they remember her and how much she did for so many people, or because they weren’t alive in the 90s to see all that and grew up with only stories about the people’s princess. Whichever group you fall into, we’re sure you’ll love to hear that Spencer is already available on Hulu for streaming. The movie focuses mainly on the downside of Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles, and it feels really refreshing to see that from her perspective.

And these are our top picks this week. What do you think? Tell us in the comments or tweet us @thehoneypop! We’ll love to hear your thoughts.
