7 Songs By Enhypen Your Playlist Needs

If you’re looking for a new K-pop group to follow, look no further than Enhypen. The group formed on the survival reality show I-LAND in 2020, debuting later that year with their first EP, BORDER: ONE, under BeLift Lab. Enhypen comprises seven members, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki.

Enhypen’s most recent repackaged release, DIMENSION: ANSWER, has only added to their popularity with their title track ‘Blessed-Cursed,’ showcasing the septet’s ability to conquer different music genres. The group’s discography, while still growing, is vast in style and unique to the group. If you aren’t already familiar with Enhypen, don’t worry! We’ve got seven songs to add to your playlist that will make you fall in love with the septet.

‘Drunk-Dazed’ served as Enhypen’s title track for their second EP BORDER: CARNIVAL. The track is EDM-inspired and helps establish the group as a leader of K-pop’s fourth generation. According to member Jay, the song demonstrates the group trying to process their life post-debut by comparing it to a “majestic yet disorienting carnival.”

Polaroid Love’

You’ve probably already heard of this song or seen the dance challenge on TikTok. Enhypen even teased the piece before its release at their show [EN-CONNECT: COMPANION] on Nov. 19, 2021. ‘Polaroid Love’ was crafted as a gift from Enhypen to their beloved fans, Engenes. The catchy chorus and pop beat is a match made in heaven. The song compares falling in love to a polaroid photograph and the cheesiness of falling in love instantly. You’ll be singing and dancing along to this one in an instant.

‘Blockbuster’ feat. Yeonjun of TXT

If you’re looking for something with a little bit of edginess to it, ‘Blockbuster’ might be the right fit for you. The heavy rock influences meshed with hip-hop beats will make you feel like the latest action movie star. And when you bring in Yeonjun of TXT into the mix, it’s automatically a hit. His verses add to the grittiness of the guitar elements, and we love every second of this Enyphen and Tomorrow X Together interaction.

Enhypen’s debut title track is a must-have on your playlist. ‘Given-Taken’ set up the group’s image with a dark, vampire-esque concept, paired with expressive choreography. The pop track takes inspiration from a riff from the classic film Nazareno Cruz and the Wolf paired with a modern trap beat to emphasize the concept. ‘Given-Taken’ allowed Enhypen to send a message about who they are and want to become as their journey as artists began.

You can’t talk about Enhypen’s discography without mentioning one of their best b-sides. ‘Fever’ contains all the elements needed in an R&B track, from the sensual bass lines to the strong vocals. The song is about having a moment of infatuation and a strong desire for someone. This BORDER: CARNIVAL b-side has become an immediate classic in Enhypen’s discography and one of their most notable ones. The music video continues their vampire-like theme started in their debut EP BORDER: ONE.

From one title track to another, Enhypen doesn’t miss, especially when it comes to this one. For their first album repackage DIMENSION: ANSWER, the septet demonstrates their versatility in conquering various genres with ‘Blessed-Cursed.’ The group’s fourth title track is a heavy hip-hop track with hidden guitar riffs and references to The Matrix. The lyrics paint a picture of where Enhypen are in their career, one year following their debut, and pushing beyond the boundaries as they grow.

‘Upper Side Dreamin’’

The last song on our list, but certainly not the least, is ‘Upper Side Dreamin’.’ Another impeccable b-side from Enhypen’s first studio album, DIMENSION: DILEMMA. ‘Upper Side Dreamin’’ blends the perfect pop and EDM genres to create a chill vibe. The b-side has the members talking about their dreams, filled with a fancy car, big house, and champagne glasses; a joy-filled fantasy. ‘Upper Side Dreamin’’ is also the perfect song to add to your road trip playlist.
