Global superstar Ed Sheeran has joined forces with the rock band, Bring Me The Horizon, and unveiled the official audio of the rocking rendition of his smashing tune ‘Bad Habits,’ via Atlantic Records. From the up-tempo, guitar-laden original single to the current version that veers towards rock infused with the euphoric vocals of Oli Sykes, the lead singer of BMTH, we are still so enamored with the chart-topping song. We are gonna be honest with you, we never saw this collaboration coming, so props to you, big lads!

‘Bad Habits’ originally appeared on Ed Sheeran’s latest album = (Equal) and marked the beginning of his new musical era, making us all excited! It arrived with a music video that had us glued to our seats, causing a stir as we were stunned by his scary vampire appearance. Won’t you agree that our beloved ginger boy is too adorable to be a vampire?

This new remix coincides with the release of a sweet rendition of ‘The Joker And The Queen,’ which Ed recently released in collaboration with none other than his close friend and pop queen Taylor Swift. We believe something exciting is brewing in Ed Sheeran’s musical world, and we want to take a shot at it. Ed Sheeran seems to be expanding his horizons and branching out, both stylistically and sonically, which is good news for us, as we can expect more from the pop legend in the future.

Ahead of the release, Ed posted a video to his social media accounts in which he is seen on a FaceTime video call with Oli Sykes, who says, “The performance was insane, and there are so many people asking for a studio version,” to which Ed replied, “We have to get one out, people are really liking it. Do you think we can turn it around fast?”

What a fantastic way to generate buzz, capped off by a captivating live performance rocking the sweet rendition of ‘Bad Habits,’ don’t you think?

I really enjoyed the show last week, and I think people will really like the new version. Excited to get it out.

Ed Sheeran on ‘Bad Habits’ feat. Bring Me The Horizon

Oli Sykes, frontman for Bring Me The Horizon, is ecstatic about collaborating with megastar Ed Sheeran, first for opening the BRITs 2022 and later for debuting this rock version of the smash hit and chart-topping single, ‘Bad Habits.’ Oli is in a very celebratory mood, and we can sense why.

From receiving the email asking whether we’d like to open the BRITs with Ed Sheeran to us chatting and bouncing ideas to rehearsing and then performing and now releasing, this has, needless to say, been pretty mental. But we are all about pushing the boundaries of our own and other genres, so this felt like the perfect challenge.

BRITs 2022: A Memorable Night

Our hearts were bursting with joy when Bring Me The Horizon joined pop star Ed Sheeran to open The BRIT Awards 2022 and made it a memorable night. They performed a captivating rendition of the smash hit, ‘Bad Habits,’ which left us in awe, as did all of those in attendance that night. We never realized how much we needed this collaboration until it happened, and it made us ecstatic. The performance made waves on social media, and it was well-received by both fandoms, so it was only natural that they would make their collaboration official by dropping the studio version.

And now the song is here, and we are swooning over it. It was brimming with the mellifluous vocals of Ed Sheeran and Oli Sykes blend seamlessly amidst dazzling light display that brought a whole new level of beauty and extra dimension to this pop smasher tune. Take a look at the video, and you will see why all the hype exists.

This track also arrived with a visually engaging visualizer featuring a stylish and fascinating futuristic theme, adorned with two anime characters reminiscent of Ed Sheeran and Oli. The camera constantly loops around as the music progresses and the characters spin. This visual is definitely intriguing and appealing, just as the concept is, and slightly reminiscent of popular music NFTs today. Check out the video below if you haven’t already.
