Michael Bublé’s Love Letter To Hollywood

Movies and Michael Bublé?! Two of our favorite things! Michael has just dropped the video for his latest single, ‘I’ll Never Not Love You,’ and it’s got us nostalgic for all our fave films.

Michael is not one to stray from fun and wacky music videos, and his latest lives up to them all! The video for ‘I’ll Never Not Love You’ features Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, recreating scenes from some classic love stories. Luisana is an actress and the pair so effortlessly pull off so many scenes from their favorite films such as that kiss in the rain in The Notebook, Jack and Rose clinging to the door in Titanic, and even chucks in a reference to our girl Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. Lucky us!

The video serves as a sequel to his #1 hit, ‘Haven’t Met You Yet,’ where he’s daydreaming in the same supermarket. This time, though, we get a cameo from his family at the end and it is so sweet. We bet they’re just as excited as us for Michael’s new album, Higher, to be out next month!

We love seeing artists be so creative with their videos and even more so when they involve our favorite films! Here are some other artists who made killer pop-culture references in their music videos!

Ariana Grande – ‘thank u next’

Ariana might just give Michael Bublé a run for the most rom-com features in a video. The pop princess recruited all her besties to recreate some iconic films for ‘thank u next’. With references to 13 Going on 30, Mean Girls, and Legally Blonde, this was a moment. You might even catch some familiar faces if you look close enough!

Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX – ‘Fancy’

First things first she’s the realest, Iggy and Charli XCX dropped this and the whole world was feeling it. Iggy Azalea might’ve been referencing the film, but she wasn’t Clueless when she released this video for ‘Fancy.’ If you weren’t spending most of your time trying to keep up with Iggy’s rapping in 2014, what else were you doing?

Olivia Rodrigo – ‘good 4 u’

Teen queen Liv had a slightly darker take than her fellow artists in her video for ‘good 4 u.’ A step away from the romance of Michael Bublé, Olivia pays tribute to the comedy horror film Jennifer’s Body and Megan Fox‘s man-eating protagonist. She plays up to the mean girl image in a cheerleader outfit similar to the one worn by Lana Thomas in The Princess Diaries.

Shawn Mendes – ‘Lost in Japan’

It’s not just Michael and the pop girlies, Shawn is here doing it for the guys. Michael’s fellow Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes recreated Scarlett Johanssen and Bill Murray’s Lost in Translation with his video for ‘Lost in Japan.’ With a little help from actress Alisha Boe, Shawn and his team have really recreated the visual beauty of the film.

We love it when artists get inspired by others and feel like you can get to know them so much better when you discover the art that they love themselves. We’re so glad Michael took us down memory lane and paid tribute to so many wonderful films.

If you can’t get enough of ‘I’ll Never Not Love You’ then you’ll be glad to know Michael’s brand new album, Higher, will be available for you to stream from the 25th of March. We can’t wait!

Did these artists include any of your favorite films? What films would you like to see made into music videos? So many questions! Let us know the answers in the comments or tweet us @TheHoneyPop. We’re also on Facebook and Instagram if you like to hang out there! Come say hi!
