Binge-Worthy Buzz: The Sweetest Recommendations Just For You

binge-worthy buzz

Happy March, honeybees! And welcome to another edition of Binge-Worthy Buzz, our series where we bring you the sweetest releases in the realm of movies and TV for your (and our) enjoyment. Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. That’s the cast of Cyrano, Joe Wright’s latest movie that is currently in theaters. Peter Dinklage’s Cyrano, Haley Bennett’s Roxane, and Kelvin Harrison Jr.’s Christian are the three members of a love triangle in this period piece. From stunning visuals to amazing swordplay and a pretty cool twist on the love triangle trope, Cyrano is a heartbreaking love story you will need to get your tissues out for.

Mo Gilligan: There’s Mo to Life

If there’s one thing the world will always need, that’s laughter. And no one brings out the biggest laughs like the stand-up comedians we know and love. That’s why we were so stoked to hear about Mo Gillian’s second Netflix special that just dropped. Mo Gillian: There’s Mo To Life is another huge success for the British comedian, who can brag about selling out show, hosting the BRITs, winning a BAFTA, among many other things. In short, Mo is one of the best in the business these days and everyone should check out his work.

West Side Story

Steven Spielberg’s version of one of the most classic musicals of all time could never be off this list. This lovely reimagining of the classic Romeo and Juliet story will be available on Disney+ on March 2. Spielberg received lots of praise for how he handled the reboot of the 1960s classic, keeping the original feel of the musical while making some changes to update the story and make it a less stereotypical view of the Latinx community. So in case you haven’t seen it yet, we strongly suggest you head over to Disney+ as soon as possible.

The King’s Man

Please tell us we’re not the only ones who absolutely love the Kingsman movies. And if you love them like us, you’ll also love this suggestion. After watching the first two movies set in modern times, The King’s Man is the origin story of the agency we came to root for. And it all started with one man in the 1900s trying to stop the worst tyrants of his time. Matthew Vaughn once again did a spectacular job with the Kingsman franchise, and you can bet we’ll be logging on to Hulu to watch The King’s Man regularly.

Mr. Queen

Did you think we’d end this list without mentioning at least one K-Drama we’re currently obsessed with? Never! Mr. Queen‘s protagonist is a chef who cooks for some of South Korea’s top politicians, until one day he wakes up in the body of a queen from the country’s past, Kim So Yong. Over the course of the episodes, the protagonist must adapt to life in the past, not raise too many suspicions and deal with some secrets that are revealed. Excuse us while we spend the next day or two on Hulu watching this.
