Chart-topping Queen Camila Cabello has returned with another hit single in ‘Bam Bam.’ She hasn’t made her return on her own though. This time she’s had a little help from Ed Sheeran, you might have heard of him! The two have delivered pop perfection and it’s nothing less than we’d expect!
[apple_music_ad artist=”Camila Cabello” song=”Bam Bam”]
This is not the first time we’ve had musical magic from this duo as the pair have previously collaborated on ‘South of The Border’ from Ed’s fourth studio album No.6 Collaborations Project. Ed has been killing it with the collabs lately, BMTH and Taylor Swift were both music to our ears but we are so excited he has reunited with Camila. Both artists have such distinctive sounds and blended together, it is so beautiful, or should we say, es tan hermoso.
Embracing her Latina roots is something Camila is very proud of and has been integral to her sound since her first releases as a solo artist. From ‘Havana’ to ‘Señorita,’ ‘Don’t Go Yet,’ and Now ‘Bam Bam,’ Camila has showcased the influence of her Cuban-Mexican heritage in her music, and its something that really makes her stand out in today’s pop scene.
Don’t Worry, We Couldn’t Forget The Video!
For the music video, Mia Barnes was in the director’s seat. She was also working alongside long time Camila collaborator Dave Meyers who has been responsible for videos such as ‘Havana,’ ‘Liar,’ and ‘My Oh My‘ all iconic so of course this is too! There’s so much creative collaboration on this project, we love to see it!
The video shows Camila and Ed battling through some pretty sucky situations and trying to make the best of it. As Camila says in her tweet, the song is about finding joy in life even in the toughest of situations and to keep dancing your way through. We mean they literally dance in the rain, how much more poetic could it get?
If you’re having a tough time right now, consider this a musical hug. This is life and growing up, sometimes things don’t go our way but we’ll find a way to work it out eventually. In the meantime, sigue bailando, keep dancing and absorb all the love this song has to offer.
We absolutely cannot wait until Camila’s next album Familia is out and it’s a good thing it’s not too far away now! Get ready to stream it on April 8th but until then ‘Bam Bam’ is firmly in our rotation, you can stream it here!
