New Music Weekly is back! We have debuts, full-length albums, EPs, and some incredible singles from so many artists we love. 2022 is shaping up to be such an incredible year for music, let’s dive in!
Anna Shoemaker – Everything Is Fine (I’m Only On Fire)
[apple_music_ad artist=”Anna Shoemaker”]
One thing about us here at The Honey POP, we are always going to rally around debut projects, much like we are with this smash of a debut album from Anna Shoemaker. Aside from completely being in love with the name of the album, Everything Is Fine (I’m Only On Fire), each track is so stellar that picking a favorite was quite the task. We ended up deciding that ‘Scared of Your Ex (Brooklyn Cowboy)’ is our favorite of the bunch.

Bronte Fall – Winter
Bronte Fall are making some of the most unique, beautifully crafted pop music, which is showcased so perfectly here on Winter. From the Wizard of Oz-inspired ‘Beyond the Rain,’ to our personal favorite track, ‘Outsmart Love,’ Winter is a must-listen album!

Abisha – ‘Home To You’
Having a person in your life that makes you feel like everything will be okay as long as you have them, is a whole other type of love. Abisha perfectly describes that love on ‘Home To You.’ As we enter our lover era this is exactly the kind of track we want to be blasting through any and every speaker.

ARMNHMR – Waiting For Love
Waiting For Love is an all-new side to ARMNHMR. While we’re used to songs that make us feel like we are in the middle of a field somewhere at a festival dancing the night away, this EP takes us to a more intimate place. From the title track, ‘Waiting For Love,’ to ‘Saving Lives’ it’s proven right here what versatile artists ARMNHMR are.

Ellie Byers – ‘Role Play’
[apple_music_ad artist=”Ellie Byers”]
We’ve got a debut single! Ellie Byers is a brand new artist coming to us from the UK and based on what we’re hearing on ‘Role Play,’ she’s got as bright of a future as they come. The concept of ‘Role Play,’ of having to act a part so that things work out, makes for a beyond toxic relationship. But, it’s something too many of us have felt like we’re doing just to hang on.

Eden Lole – ‘Bad Habit’
We are full-on Eden Lole stans here at THP and have been since ‘Boys.’ Eden is going to be on all of your playlists before long, it’s unavoidable with as much talent as she has. ‘Bad Habit’ is an absolute smash, we can hardly wait for the debut EP in May.
It’s about that one person that you know is bad for you but you’ve never been able to walk away from until now. I had to take ownership of the fact it would be my fault if I went back there again. So, I found some self-respect, put on my big girl pants and left because I knew what I was worth

BENEE – Lychee
BENEE just put out one of our favorite projects of the year so far with Lychee. Choosing a favorite song proved to be quite the task, with each listen we could feel it shifting. We came to the conclusion our standout track is ‘Beach Boy.’ There is something almost ethereal about all of her music, and we just can’t get enough.

Chelsea Cutler – When I Close My Eyes (Deluxe)
Here on new music weekly, we are always going to jump at the opportunity to gush about how Chelsea Cutler is one of the greatest artists around right now. If you needed further proof take a look at the deluxe version of her (stellar) latest album When I Close My Eyes. We have had ‘Marlboro Lights’ (which is entirely self-written btw) stuck in our heads since our first listen-through.

Wallows – ‘At The End Of The Day’
Wallows have not missed once in their entire career. This band is poised to become one of the biggest bands around right now, and it is rightfully deserved. ‘At The End of the Day’ is the latest single from Wallows‘ upcoming album, which we couldn’t be looking forward to more. This track showcases the absolute best of Wallows.

Shinedown – ‘Planet Zero’
Shinedown has been a part of so many of our listening histories for as long as we can remember! ‘Planet Zero’ acts as the lead single from the band’s upcoming album, out on April 22nd. As always Shindedown is proving rock is anything but a gone genre, they are breathing new life into the scene constantly.

Jaxx – ‘Too Often’
‘Too Often’ is finally getting the visual treatment the track deserves! Jaxx is one of the hottest rising artists and we have a feeling if this track is any indication, that 2022 is going to be his year. We are fully ready for that well-deserved attention for Jaxx.

LÉON – Circles
It’s a strong possibility that LÉON just released our favorite album of the year thus far. Choices is made up of eleven masterpieces back to back, no filler. We couldn’t narrow it down to just one standout track, so we had to pick two, ‘The Beach,’ and ‘Look Like That.’ This record live is going to be an otherwordly experience.

Any time we get to have a dance track on New Music Weekly, it’s a good day. Dance is such an incredible form of expression, and Natalie Gray has handed us this incredible vessel to dance along to all summer long.
