Of course, we have to start with one of the latest releases. If you’re in the mood for non-stop cute moments and hilarity then this is the show for you. Shin Hari finds herself in a tough situation after her best friend convinces her to dress up as someone else and act as a stand-in on a blind date. Just who could she meet that would turn her world upside down? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
The series finale just aired on April 5, and we have to admit we started re-watching from the beginning as soon as the credits rolled. Yes, it’s just that amazing. Ahn Hyoseop, Kim Sejeong, Seol Inah, and Kim Minkyu come together to form the ultimate romance team!
Watch Hyoseop and Sejeong’s duet cover of their theme song and try not to get it stuck in your head, we promise it’s impossible.
The witty banter, the outrageous antics, and the worthy-of-envy romantic moments that spark our screen are only a few reasons why this series has quickly become one of our favorite k-dramas. One character we need to mention is Kang Taemu’s grandfather, AKA the comedy king. If you know, you know. As we binge this show again, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a special episode announcement! (Netflix, if you read this, we’re literally begging 🙏)
So Not Worth It
This quirky college series brings all the laughs from the very first episode. We follow Park Sewan as she navigates being a no-nonsense college student and dorm advisor. When a mysterious and handsome new student arrives, her world that has been so carefully ordered begins to shift. How intriguing! We couldn’t get enough of Sewan and the adventures she and her friend group get up to.
Each episode brings a new situation for our colorful cast to face, all while solving their own problems. A true sitcom, So Not Worth It will keep you entertained while you root for the new romances between characters. Fans of K-Pop groups GOT7 and (G)I-DLE will note that Youngjae and Minnie both star in this incredibly fun drama as well.
Romance Is A Bonus Book
When the show has the word “romance” in the title, you know it’s going to be sugary sweet, and this k-drama won’t let you down. Kang Dani is a single mother struggling to re-enter the workforce after an ugly divorce. She is passionate, hard-working, and takes no one’s shenanigans. While Dani works toward getting back on her feet, a surprising love interest arises when and where she least expects it!
This k-drama is a nice warm hug with several adorable sub-plot romances happening alongside our lead’s plot. Seriously, one of the best dramas ever created, no, we’re not exaggerating. All right, let’s move on because we could gush about this one all day long.
There’s no way you haven’t heard about HomeCha, but if somehow you haven’t then, we envy you. If there was a way we could go back in time, and re-watch this show for the first time we would jump at the chance!
Perfectionist and dentist Yoon Hyejin makes a life-changing decision when she moves to the small seaside town of Gongjin, where she runs into the ultimate jack-of-all-trades Hong Dusik, known as Chief Hong in the village. The storylines, the characters, and our main couple are so well written and portrayed wonderfully by every single actor. Shin Mina is one of our favorite actresses for a reason!
You will fall in love not just with the leads but the marvelously talented supporting cast too. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is truly just top-tier storytelling all around, you can’t see us, but we’re giving this k-drama a standing ovation right now. Plus, the cutest moments happen between Hyejin and Dusik that will keep you smiling even after the ending theme song starts playing. P.S. you will definitely be adding the theme song to your playlist, fair warning.
Forecasting Love & Weather
Song Kang and Park Minyoung fans unite! In this true and steady k-drama, we get a full range of different relationships and unfiltered conversations between those in them. Fate aligns when forecaster Jin Hakyung butts heads with special weather reporter Lee Siwoo. The chemistry between the cast, not just the leads, is outstanding and makes watching the ups and downs our characters face all the more emotional.
Forecasting Love & Weather also pulls back the curtain on topics that are not usually spoken about. If you’re looking for some more realism alongside your sweet romance then start here! From secret relationships to first loves, this drama will hand you every trope you love on a plate with both salty and sweet side dishes. Basically, this show is a whole meal, so eat up!
We don’t know about you, but we’re ready to spring into the season with these romantic k-dramas. Now that you’ve added every drama we mentioned to your watchlist, the only thing left to do is pick one and watch the romance bloom. Happy streaming Honeybees!
