If you’re anything like us at THP, you grew up waiting for Monday and Tuesday nights every week to head to your favorite ballroom! The most iconic televised one, of course. Dancing With The Stars has dazzled families worldwide for nearly two decades, and it’s waltzing on over to Disney+ for its next season this fall, becoming the streaming service’s first live show!
Some of our favorite celebrities, including everyone from Zendaya to Cody Simpson, have accepted the challenge and stolen the show on DWTS. And with our excitement for the new season, we couldn’t help but come up with our dream cast! So here are some artists we hope to see on the dance floor soon.
As one of the biggest stars in dance music, it’s only natural to wonder whether David Guetta has some moves himself. We’re sure he’s picked a few up over the years! He’ll be playing weekly shows at Spain’s Hï Ibiza club with Morten from June 3rd to September 30th, which might make his schedule tricky to balance, but the shows are on Friday, so he could fly to Los Angeles over the weekend to make it to the ballroom. Fingers crossed!
Lauren’s gonna be a busy lady when she hits the road with BANKS this summer, but that’d be the perfect practice for DWTS! The energy at her live shows is so infectious, and we could totally see it translating well on TV. Her Fifth Harmony bandmate Normani absolutely crushed it when she was on the show, and we know Lauren could as well! So grab your tickets to her summer tour right here, and maybe consider making your concert sign something like “Lauren, we need you on Dancing With The Stars ASAP.”
Twenty One Pilots
We’d be happy to see either Tyler Joseph or Josh Dun (maybe even both!) take on Dancing With The Stars. Come on, can you blame us? They really know how to light up a stage, and it’d probably be the same for the venue they film DWTS in. And TOP know that they know how to light up a stage, because they’re making an entire cinema experience out of their 2020 livestream concert!
The movie will add fun behind-the-scenes content to a show that was already brimming with amazing songs and dances! Get your tickets here to make sure you don’t miss the film on May 19th, then meet us in the theater lobby afterward to get a Dancing manifestation circle going.
Maria was absolutely electrifying when she performed ‘Qué Más Pues?’ with J Balvin at this year’s GRAMMY Awards, and ever since that night, we’ve been wondering what new directions she could take her stardom in. Dancing would be the perfect option! She has this certain grace about her when she performs, not to mention her incredible sense of rhythm. We know everyone would be saying ‘Wow Wow’ after her dances.
