Throw It Back MTV Style With These New Music Videos From State Champs, The Band CAMINO, and More!

Today we’re going old school with these brand new music videos! From State Champs’ new single ‘Eventually,’ to Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Iced Out Necklace,’ we’re transporting you to turning on MTV at 6am and watching ‘Black and Yellow’ and ‘Baby’ while you got ready for school.

We love a bit of nostalgia, so let’s have a TRL moment and watch some new music videos! We’ve got everything from rock to rap to EDM and pop, and they’re all ~chef’s kiss~ amazing.

‘Eventually’ by State Champs

This catchy new track from modern pop-punk icons State Champs brings all the heart we love them so much for. ‘Eventually’ expresses what it feels like to deal with mental and physical challenges.

“This song is about facing those things head on. I’ve never been one to open up about these things, so I hope if anyone relates to ‘Eventually’ even in the slightest, it lets them know that it’s ok to have these feelings and to talk about them. Writing this song motivated me to take the necessary steps to get my mind and body back to a healthy place, and I hope those listening are able to do the same.”

The music video creates a safe space for the heavier subject matter by doubling as a behind the scenes look at the band in the studio. By framing it this way, the video shows us that things do get better and the support of your friends and loved ones is important and powerful. Not to mention, there are hints about their upcoming fourth studio album, Kings Of The New Age, out May 13 via Pure Noise Records. The album will feature guests Ben Barlow, Chrissy Costanza, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Four Year Strong.

‘Iced Out Necklace’ by Wiz Khalifa

Wiz is back with a banger in new single ‘Iced Out Necklace’ and it’s taking us back to old school hip hop videos. Directed by Wiz himself and Andrea Saaveda, the video sees Wiz and friends going rogue in what looks like detention, before moving through the rest of the school, including shots with even the lunch ladies. We love the strong “taking back our youth” vibes from the video. This music video is perfect for the end of the school year as many students are probably daydreaming about having a party in the cafeteria instead of doing homework!

‘Make You Love Me’ by Aiyana-Lee

This sultry video serves as a prequel to Aiyana-Lee’s previous music video, ‘Gangster of Love!’ With her silky, soulful vocals, Aiyana-Lee embodies a bartender pursuing her patron love interest in a glamorous red dress in the visual for her new single.

“I wanted to create a world with each video, showcasing a different side to me and elaborating on an even bigger story! There’s a puzzle and Easter eggs throughout the entirety of this experience. The story is the creation of myself and Nicole Daciana Anderson’s mind, down to the makeup (done by yours truly) and vision. I’m thankful to Nayip, our incredible director for always bringing our visions to life and believing in me.”
