7 BTS Lyrics You Can Use For Your Graduation Cap!

Congratulations to the Class of 2022! We are SO proud of you for completing such a grand milestone in your life. We know high school and college can be difficult (trust us, we’ve been there), but you should be proud of yourself for being able to push through despite the challenges you may have encountered along the way.

What better way to commemorate your graduation than by celebrating with the artist that gave you the motivation to finish your degree and coursework? Which is the K-pop sensation known as BTS, of course! We know RM would be proud of you (and you get to keep your eyebrows lol)!

Think about it: BTS has an amazing discography and incredible, healing songs about life, mental health, and self-love, among other topics. For this reason, we thought we’d give the ARMY graduating this year a list of seven BTS song lyrics they can use to decorate their graduation caps!

“And you’re gonna be happy…” – ‘Zero O’ Clock’

Starting off strong we have ‘Zero O’ Clock.’ Sorry, ARMY, for pulling at your heartstrings so soon, BUT it’s our job to do so. This song is the one that has given us a boost of serotonin during difficult times when we are struggling with our mental health, so it only made sense that we include it in this list.

Even if you’re not where you want to be in life or your career yet, just remember that one day “you’re gonna be happy,” even if it takes time.

“You should be your light…”  – ‘Promise’

Yep, we know what you’re thinking: “This is my comfort song!” Spoiler alert, it’s ours as well. Jimin’s vocals in this song are BEAUTIFUL. The sweet melody of the ballad matches perfectly with his lower-register vocal range.

‘Promise’ is a song about loving yourself so you can heal and be happier instead of continuing to hurt yourself. Originally, Jimin wrote this song for himself, but it later became a song for his fans as well as a reminder to be their own light. Now that you’ve finished high school or college, we hope you ‘Promise’ to continue shining your light wherever you go (and help us start a petition for this gem to be added to Spotify).

“One time for the present, two times for the past…” – ‘My Time’

Wait, give us a minute to process this line – it’s one of our favorites! Alright, we’re ready to dive into it.

Do we even have to explain how iconic this song lyric is?! It’s a beautiful way of saying the past is over and now we’re going to rejoice in what we have now. One cheer for the present, and two cheers for the past that shaped the person you are today. All those tears you shed while studying for finals are all in the past now, and now you can reap the benefits of your hard work once you walk across the stage.

“Light it up like dynamite…” – ‘Dynamite’

“Shining through the city with a little funk and soul,” but instead of shining through the city, you’ll be shining on the stage (cheesy we know, but you have to admit it was a good play on words).

By now, we’ve given you three inspirational song lyrics you can use, but if you want to spice things up a bit, then this song lyric from ‘Dynamite’ is perfect for you. This upbeat track is bound to brighten up your day and bring good vibes. Graduation is a day full of joy and excitement, and what better way to express those emotions than to “light it up like dynamite?”

“Life goes on…” – ‘Life Goes On’

ARMY, when we tell you we almost shed a tear listening to this song, we’re being serious. It’s another one of our favorite comfort songs that makes us feel like everything is going to be okay. In fact, we love this song SO MUCH that if a movie were made about us, we would make it a part of our soundtrack.

Just remember that even after you walk across the stage and receive your diploma, no matter what inconveniences arise, “life goes on.” After all, we are bulletproof (see what we did there?).

“Forever we are young…” – ‘Epilogue: Young Forever’

Even if you feel like you’re old in age, just remember that you can be young at heart. Who said having fun has an expiration date? You may be entering adulthood and starting a new chapter in your life, but that doesn’t mean your adventures stop there!

With this being said, be proud of yourself! Here at THP, we like to remind ourselves that “forever we are young,” and you should do the same. How else would we be able to give you guys great K-pop content?

“Young and wild and free…” – ‘So What’

Now, don’t fight us on this, BUT we think we can all agree that ‘So What’ is one of the best hype songs. The vibe of this song is filled with such positive energy. It’s the kind of song to make you stop what you’re doing and dance! It’s a song that makes you feel “young and wild and free” because once you start dancing, all of a sudden you forget your worries.

Not only that, but this song lyric can be a fun play on words because not only does it make you feel free of worries when you listen to it, but you can also use it on your graduation cap to express that you are free from school. Free from stress, homework, and exams!

That’s all we have for you, graduates. We would LOVE to include every BTS song lyric in existence in this list, but that would quickly become a 100-page essay. Trust us, we love BTS’ music as much as you do! Their entire discography is top-tier and full of hits, so what’s not to love about this INCREDIBLY talented, kind-hearted, and hard-working group?

To wrap things up, in honor of you graduating, here’s a bonus video! We know you’ve waited four long years to use this song, so go ahead and use it on your Instagram stories and TikTok videos. You deserve it, ARMY!💜
