Okay, so we all know how the Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+) is always coming up with new content we love to binge-watch as soon as possible, and the month of May will be no different. With that in mind, we decided to round up some of the new titles we’re most hyped about.
It’s no secret that here at THP, we are counting down the days until Obi-Wan Kenobi drops on Disney+ on May 27. We can’t wait to see Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan once more, and filling in some of the blanks between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope is also going to be a lot of fun. And the trailer showed us a 10-year-old Luke Skywalker, who we are also really excited to see more of.
Candy: Limited Series
Based on true events, Hulu’s Candy tells the story of Candy Montgomery, a housewife from the 80s who seems to have lived her entire life according to society’s ideals of what a woman should be. But that’s just not enough anymore and she just wants more freedom, which she does get, but the consequences of it may be a bit more deadly than she’d anticipated. The limited series premieres on May 9 and you bet you’ll find us binge-watching it as soon as possible.
So, technically, Moon Knight has been on Disney+ for a while, but the finale comes in May and we can’t wait for it! Marc Spector and Steven Grant won us over as soon as they showed up on screen (Oscar Isaac may or may not have something to do with this, but let’s not get into that now) and now that season one is almost over we’re invested and we need to know how it goes. Do Marc and Steven succeed in stopping Arthur Harrow? Will they learn to coexist without being at each other’s throats (even though they have the same throat)? Will Jake Lockley make an appearance before the season finale? We can’t wait to find out!
Who Do You Believe? – ABC
If you enjoy a good true-crime story, ABC’s Who Do You Believe? is the perfect show for you! Starting May 3, each episode of this show will tell one true-crime case from the perspectives of both the victims and the criminals. With the information from both sides, it’s up to the viewers to try to piece together what truly happened.
The Book Of Boba Fett (+disney gallery)
The Star Wars fandom is being treated well by Disney+ lately. As you all know, The Book of Boba Fett is a huge success among fans for shining more light on the bounty hunter we were all dying to know more about. In addition to the entire first season of the series, on May 4, we will also be able to watch Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett, giving us all the deets from the making of the show.
Dragons: The Nine Realms
To close our list, we bring the second season of Dragons: The Nine Realms, a spin-off of the How To Train Your Dragon films. 1,300 years after the events of the movies, dragons have disappeared from the face of the Earth and become legends once again. That is until a group of misfit kids finds their hiding spot after being brought to a research facility by their scientist parents. Season one is available already and season two will be on Hulu on May 5.
