A few months ago, we interviewed the incredibly talented singer-songwriter Sorana and now she is back with her amazing debut solo single! In her previous song, ‘redruM,’ she sings from the perspective of already being with the person she loves, while her new song, ‘Karaoke,’ flips the script and discusses her unique methods to cope with heartbreak.

“I always go to karaoke on a Friday night
Thinkin’ ’bout what we could’ve been
But we’d never work ’cause you’re not mine”
Once again, Sorana brings her elegant songwriting skills to play and has crafted another track that is impossible not to love. The single was also produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Ali Payami. Stream ‘Karaoke’ on your music platform of choice here!
The story of my song ‘Karaoke’ starts with: He broke my heart, but instead of confronting him about why he cheated, I decided to go to a karaoke bar with my girlfriends on that Friday night, pick the most heartbreaking songs I could find in the playlist and sing my heart out pretending he was there to listen. Going to karaoke became a regular thing for me and as I used music for healing, I also found my courage as a performer, becoming the star of that karaoke bar. Those nights made me dream and inspired me to express my most vulnerable feelings through music.

Her latest single, ‘Karaoke,’ is a follow up to her fiery dance track collaboration with David Guetta, ‘redruM.’ Read what Sorana had to say about the music video theme and her lyrics in our interview! The song was also remixed by German producer/DJ Robin Schulz— which you can listen to right here—and MistaJam!
We’re obsessed with Sorana’s music and her stunning voice so when she uploaded an acoustic version of ‘redruM’ to her Youtube channel, of course we had to watch!
The fact that she’s sporting her iconic glowing ponytails makes it even more epic. Check it out and be prepared to become her fan if you aren’t already!
I have a lot of singles with very cool visuals and concepts that I’m planning on releasing this year and when the time is right, I will be releasing my debut album.

Okay, ‘Karaoke’ is our new sad girl anthem. Sorana did say she had more music up her sleeve this year and we’re stoked to hear what she’s got in store. And we might just have to hop on the light-up hair trend now, thank you Sorana!
