Binge-Worthy Buzz: What’s Buzzing On Hulu

binge-worthy buzz

Hey there, honeybees, how are y’all? We’re back here for another edition of Binge-Worthy Buzz, which, in case you’re new here, is our weekly series where we tell you all about what’s buzzing in the realm of movies and TV shows. So you always have something to watch! This week, we’ve selected quite a few new titles on Hulu, one of our favorite streaming services. Now that you’re all caught up, let’s dive in!

The Valet

We’ll be honest with you guys, we love ourselves a good fake dating story. That’s why we’re so hyped for May 20, when The Valet is set to premiere on Hulu. Here’s the gist of what’s set to be one of our favorite recent rom-coms: Olivia, a famous actress, is caught by paparazzi with her lover, who just happens to be a married man. After the PR disaster, Olivia needs a way to clean up the mess. That’s when Antonio comes into the picture.

Literally, Antonio also appears in the photo of Olivia and Vincent, her married lover. And because of that, he’s the one enlisted to pose as her new boyfriend. Poor Antonio was just working as a valet and suddenly he’s under the spotlight for “dating” a movie star. We can’t wait to see what the clash of their two worlds brings us.

The Deep End

Documentaries aren’t for everyone, we get that. But we just have to talk about The Deep End. Spiritual gurus are always quite the interesting subject, and that’s why this docu-series is diving into one of the world’s most controversial ones: Teal Swan.

Filmed over the course of three years, the four episodes show us not only some of the weird stuff Swan has said over the years, but also how much her followers hang on to every word she says, no matter how outlandish it may sound. Hulu is really coming for our curiosity with this one.

The lives of completely ordinary people can be one of the most interesting subjects for a show. 227 focuses on the lives of middle-class people living in an apartment building, specifically 227 Lexington Place in DC.

But no story revolving around people living in a building would be complete without the nosy neighbor. In this show, that role is filled by Mary Jenkins. Mary is always caught up on her neighbors’ lives and still finds time to be a loving housewife and mother to her husband, Lester, and her daughter, Brenda. We can’t wait to see the Jenkins family dynamics on our screens on May 23.

Does anyone remember this awesome thriller from 2014/15? Yes? Us too! And now it’s on Hulu for us to rewatch as many times as we like. And if you don’t remember it or weren’t around to watch it… don’t worry, darling, we’ll tell you all about it.

The main characters are a team of scientists from the Avengers for Disease Control. Everything seems fine for them until they’re called to a research facility in the Artic because of the possibility of a disease outbreak that could threaten the future of humanity.
