Sometimes we all crave a new love anthem to listen to on loop for hours. We love the feeling that it gives us when we suddenly become the main character of a romance movie that is going on inside of our minds. But we know that it can be quite hard to find the exact anthem we need based on the theme of our feelings. Don’t worry! As always, your fave magazine, The Honey POP, got your back.
We have beautiful new releases this week, and we are sure we’ll get the love anthem you are looking for – including the love that makes you feel like you can conquer the world, the heartbreak, and even the love you feel towards your friends because you have been through a lot. And, to help you daydream the better, we are giving you the music videos of these new releases! So, before we make you wait any longer, let’s check new music videos you should see to find the love anthem you exactly need.
Kehlani — ‘Melt’
Kehlani is back with her new single ‘melt’ and the precious music video that cleanses our souls. We love everything about this song, and the music video just gave us another reason. Coming from her new album, blue water road, Kehlani melted our hearts with this song hehe. If you are looking for a love anthem about being so in love with someone that makes you feel so safe that it makes you feel so calm and happy, then ‘melt’ is your go-to song! We also can’t stop talking about how the music video made us wholesome. Everything is just *chef’s kiss*.
JORDY — ‘Dry Spell’
Are you bored of the dynamics of today’s relationships that make you feel like you can’t fit in, because you still want to live a beautiful, healthy relationship that we see on TV shows? Like you need love in the form that we were taught about, not in the modern-day version? Yeah, us too. But at least we know JORDY understands us, and he gave us the best “What the heck is going on with love nowadays?” anthem, ‘Dry Spell.’ In the song, he expresses this feeling that we can all relate to by “being stuck in a dry spell.” The music video is also genius since the setting is a literal desert. But JORDY, don’t worry, you are not alone in that desert. All of The Honey POP are there.
Peter McPoland — ‘Dead Air’
We are all familiar with the little “Oh sh*t!” that pops up in our heads when we realize we are in love with a person. This situation usually happens when we are with them, looking at their face, and we slowly come to a realization. It catches us off guard most of the time, and we wonder how much trouble we are in. But in the end, good or bad, it is love. And there’s a song for that. Everybody say, “Thank you, Peter.” We especially love this music video because it is like a vlog of Peter’s daily life as he travels, shoots music videos for his songs, makes new music, and hangs out with his friends. Thinking about how love is in our everyday life, it fits perfectly.
ericdoa — ‘victim’
Oops, time for a little heartbreak, then. ericdoa made the perfect anthem about the phases we go through when things end up pretty bad with your significant other, and now you have mixed feelings towards them as you try to decide if you should try one last time or just let it be. The music video of ‘victim’ perfectly represents how you feel stuck in this kind of situation to the point you feel numb while trying to figure out a way out. And we definitely saved this song in our playlists, just in case.
Zach Hood — ‘lonely isn’t the word for this’
Ouch, Zach, why do you have to attack us like that? You know the feeling you can’t describe when you realize the lack of your first true love’s existence in your life? Like you think you miss them, but you are actually missing the memories, and it makes you go numb because if you missed them, maybe there would be something to do about it, but there isn’t because you can’t bring the memories back. Too specific? Maybe, but we all have been there, and God, it hurts. And to sum it up, genius Zach Hood came up with ‘lonely isn’t the word for this’ and the new music video for it that describes the whole process. We. are. obsessed.
Mimi Webb — ‘Goodbye’
Mimi Webb, where have you been all our lives? Now that we have found you, we will never say ‘Goodbye’ to you, and we are determined about it. Mimi is incredibly talented and so underrated that it makes us mad. In ‘Goodbye,’ she pours all of her heart into the song and gives us another heartbreaking anthem that we will be listening to for the next three weeks. In ‘Goodbye,’ Mimi describes the kind of love slowly breaking down because the people in the relationship have been changing. She slowly realizes that she has been acting like totally someone else just to get love from the other person, and the minute she feels it is wrong, she knows the relationship is over. The music video is a cinematic masterpiece in that Mimi reflects the song’s theme with her movements. Everything is just perfect.
CeCe — ‘FUEO’
We don’t even know how to describe the feeling CeCe’s ‘FUEO’ has given to us. The only thing we are definitely sure about is we are so jealous of the music video. Why didn’t you hit us up, CeCe? We want to hang out with you, too! Okay, so CeCe’s beautiful relationship inspires ‘FUEO’ with her friends as she gets to know herself and her broken parts. In every friend group, each person has their own struggles that they have to learn a way to live with that, but in this way, you can relate to each other and grow a beautiful friendship out of your damages. And CeCe did a fantastic job giving us such a love anthem about this kind of friendship. We just can’t wait to scream it out from the tallest building.
Creedence Clearwater Revival — ‘Travelin’ Band’
Now, time for a nostalgia that warms our hearts. We have a music video for ‘Travelin’ Band,’ which was originally was released in 1970. As The Honey POP, we definitely had to add this new music video for Creedence Clearwater Revival because, in the music video, we see the band touring together and meeting with passionate fans every night on the stage. The love between the band and the fans is our ideal type of love at The Honey POP, and when you add the loving and fun relationship between the members, it was the perfect music video for us.
We have just given you eight new music videos with the themes of different types of love, and we hope you are already feeling like the main character with these. So, tell us!
