iann dior just dropped his new single ‘Live Fast Die Numb,’ and we’re living for it! In this song, iann sings about wanting to get away from his toxic ex so he can live his reckless lifestyle.
Our favorite lyrics in this song are in the second verse when iann sings,
“I hate to love you now. I hate the feeling that I get when you come around. It’s funny that you really thought that you could hold me down. You say you love me then you turn my world upside down. The only person that can hold me is me.”
When we heard these lyrics, we were cheering for iann! We love these lyrics so much because it’s why iann realized that he’s the only person that can hold him down and make himself happy!
At the end of the song, iann has an acoustic moment where it’s just him and a guitar, which made for the perfect end to this song! This could also represent the end of his former reckless lifestyle and the beginning of his new sober lifestyle.
‘LFDN’ is a crossover hit, and we can’t get enough of it! In a little over 2 minutes, iann balances a pop chorus with a bass-heavy instrumental in the second verse, as well as pop-punk-inspired drums in the chorus.
This is your summer break-up anthem, so listen to it when you celebrate your freedom from your toxic ex! Or blast it during summer adventures with your friends! Add this to your playlist for those summer vibes!
The music video for this song tells a different but more heartwarming story. In the music video, the scenes go back and forth between iann’s younger self and him now, as he’s living his dream as a musician. Near the middle of the video, iann is meeting fans and performing at his sold-out show, and the younger version of him attends the concert. At the end of the video, during the acoustic part of the song, iann’s younger self is on that same stage. We loved the music video so much!
