Our summer playlist just got hotter, thanks to a big favorite here at THP, Bastille! The English indie-pop band has been having a fantastic year so far, releasing their album Give Me The Future, one of our top albums of the year, to headlining a massive tour.
While the band wrapped up their tour in the US, the party isn’t over just yet. It’s just getting started! Bastille’s latest single, ‘Remind Me,’ is the perfect track to add to your summer playlist—or any playlist.
The new track is a follow-up from the band’s latest album, bringing infectious pop melodies to life. ‘Remind Me’ allows the band to continue playing with new sounds.
Lyrically, ‘Remind Me’ is all about how our minds like to taunt us with memories and constantly replaying them on a loop. And, if we’re being honest, ‘Remind Me’ is a contender for the song of summer—just saying.
“I started working on ‘Remind Me’ a few years ago in LA with some writer friends at the very beginning of the Give Me The Future album process. We weren’t really sure what it would be for but always loved how different it felt.”

Bastille Taps Into The Future
In their album, Give Me The Future, the band explores the sights and sounds of the future with 80s vibes, modernizing them with their signature sounds. In addition, their music videos present an imagined futuristic society, and ‘Remind Me’ is no exception.
The band gives fans a chance to experience their album and ‘Remind Me’ through a virtual reality immersive experience through the Oculus—how cool is that? For their latest track, Bastille welcomes fans into what they call the “Futureverse” concert blending elements of virtual reality and live performance clips. What an awesome concept!
If you need us, we’ll be jamming out to ‘Remind Me’ and exploring Bastille’s “Futureverse.” Also, make sure to check them out on tour in the UK in the fall.
