Have you heard of Infinite Eights? If you haven’t, we’re excited to introduce you to your next alt/indie rock obsession. Formed in Tampa, Florida, this talented trio includes Parker Wilkson (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Davin Norman (bass), and Tyler Hanks (drums/percussion). They’ve brought us bops like ‘Nausea’ and ‘Mind From Matter,’ and performed in festivals alongside some of our favorite acts like The 1975, Phantogram, Sir Sly, The Naked and Famous, Capital Cities, and COIN. Their latest track ‘Insecure’ is synth-pop perfection and touches on a feeling we’ve all known at some point in our lives.

‘Insecure’
Here at THP, we’re all about discovering this summer’s latest and greatest sounds, and Infinite Eights clearly understood the assignment. Their new track ‘Insecure’ combines lush guitar and synth layers with relatable lyrics like “Maybe it’s the shirt I wore? / The color of my hair? / Maybe it’s just for the best, but f*** it–I still care.” that hit a little too close to home. Who hasn’t been stuck in a one-sided love that’s left us second-guessing ourselves? ‘Insecure’ manages to sit in this discomfort while immersing us in a catchy and uplifting indie-pop soundscape.

In case you needed another reason to drop what you’re doing and sprint to the nearest streaming platform, the single was mixed by Billy Bush, a multi-GRAMMY nominated producer, audio engineer, and mixer known for his work with Garbage, Neon Trees, Foster the People, Muse, Natasha Bedingfield, and Jake Bugg to name just a few. No wonder this track fits seamlessly into all our alternative and indie pop playlists!
