Can anyone do album covers quite like Taylor Swift? We think not! From the butterfly accents on her self-titled debut to the cozy aesthetic of the evermore cover, her album art always matches the feel of the records so well. But there’s an underrated hero lurking beyond her album covers…
When Taylor releases a song as a single, whether she’s making physical CDs to send to radio stations or just giving us a digital release to add to our libraries, she usually gives it a unique single cover art! They’re usually from pictures taken during the corresponding album photoshoot, making sure it’s cohesive with the era.
For example, check out the Red (Taylor’s Version) cover versus the ‘All Too Well’ single cover! They’re from the same photoshoot and Taylor’s sitting in the same car, even though the coloring is a little different.
Sometimes Taylor also incorporates elements of her music videos into her single art! For the ‘You Belong With Me’ cover, she used a photo similar to the video concept of her crush being with a brunette girl, and for the ‘Lover (First Dance Remix)’ cover, she used a romantic shot of the ‘Lover’ music video.
We always wanna show love for underrated aspects of Taylor’s artistry, so we thought we’d make a quiz to test Swifties‘ knowledge of her single art! If you need to, go back into your iTunes library and refresh your memory before you start.
