How far will you go to pay your student debt? Perhaps buying a lottery ticket? Or try getting chosen for one of Mr.Beast‘s money competition YouTube videos? However far you decide to go, you may want to see what Aubrey Plaza does in the upcoming film, Emily the Criminal. That’s right, Aubrey will be breaking the law or as some would say, a live-action of her iconic character Lily from Parks and Recreation.
From Sundance To The Big Screen
With a premiered debut at Sundance 2022, Emily the Criminal, written and directed by John Patton Ford, will be coming to a theater near you next month! Starring the one and only Aubrey Plaza (who is also a producer in the film) and Theo Rossi- we are beyond ready for this thrilling film.
The film centers on Emily (Aubrey), who is burdened with student debt and without a job due to her criminal record. When desperate times call for desperate measures, Emily takes a gig as a “dummy shopper” where you buy goods with stolen credit cards. All are provided and planned by the charismatic middleman Youcef (Theo). Both Emily and Youcef create a plan to level up on their next scam in LA. Insane, right?
Student loan revenge thriller anyone?? I am so proud of the movie and cannot wait to get it out there. Let’s do this.
