Ever felt like your life can be represented through different songs, depending on your current experiences? Sometimes a movie can be quite relatable as well, or you just like imagining your ideas played out as cut scenes. We are embracing our inner scriptwriter to present you with our version of a romantic movie plot, with all the twists and turns, and here is the first one: we are using songs as muses. Our inspiration came after watching Kelsea Ballerini‘s new music video for ‘Heartfirst!‘
The romcom-style story transferred not only her but us as well, into a world that triggered our daydreaming state of mind and this is what it came up with. Take a seat in your comfy chair and enjoy our little scenario!
Kelsea Ballerini – ‘Heartfirst‘
Of course, we start with ‘Heartfirst,’ from our fave, Kelsea Ballerini. But here is a little secret: we think this song can go well for the ending as well. Why? Keep reading to find out!
Our movie plot idea begins just like in the music video. On a warm sunny day, our main character has a chance meeting with a stunning person and their mind immediately starts to imagine the “what might be’s.” It’s new! Exciting! Overwhelming! The feelings take over all rational thoughts and makes sure our protagonist is “diving in heart first.” Are you feeling the butterflies as well?
Andra – ‘Pas Cu Pas‘
‘Pas Cu Pas‘ is a beautiful song, which title translates to “Step By Step” and is the second chapter in our story. Now, we are at the point where our character has gotten into a romantic relationship with the dreamy person from chapter one. Everything they experience is wonderful, just like a graceful dance through life. You find yourself unable to take your eyes off the two people who look completely in love and extremely happy.
It is that moment of the love scenario where it all seems perfect. But, if things are going so well this early in our story, it usually means a dark cloud is coming towards us. Now, imagine the ending of the chapter hinting at an uneasy scene where our two stars do not see eye to eye anymore. Our heart-eyes expressions turn into shock. What will happen next?
Sasha Alex Sloan – ‘I Blame the World‘
We are now mad because that “perfect” person is not what we hoped them to be. A series of bad fights and situations occurred which led to accusations and in the end, our characters broke up, leaving our protagonist with a broken heart. We are taking out the tissues here as we watch our favorite person being consumed by their negative state of mind.
‘I Blame the World‘ fits at this specific part as our fictional creation is going through hard times and is looking for someone or something to blame. These are times of questioning everything, and reasons to be positive are evasive. Picture a collage film scene of how things started and what led to the current situation, and then the screen fading to black right here.
Salem Ilese – ‘It Gets Better‘
We are slowly going towards the part where it is time to get out of our comfy, safe bed and say “not today” to the bad thoughts. People say that time heals, and even if no one believes it during the moments we are most down, we are reminded of it at a later point.
‘It Gets Better‘ is the chapter that shows our character stand up on their own two feet (literally) and head out into the world once again. After a complete falling apart, they are now tired of all of this and are looking at things in a new light. Hope is returning to them, and we are cheering with both hands raised!
Imagine Dragons – ‘No Time For Toxic People‘
We are getting close to the end of our story. Our protagonist has gone through a big mental growth and is making some healthy changes in their life. There is no time or place for toxic people in their lives, and we support this 100%!
This is a time of cleansing their life from all that is bad for them. Now, they focus only on keeping the good thoughts in and not allowing anyone who mistreats them into their daily routine. Maybe it is time to take that example and follow it up ourselves!
HRVY, Matoma – ‘Good Vibes‘
Our movie plot has to end with ‘Good Vibes‘ because this is not a sad story. It is about the romance that pushed the character to achieve that new state of mind and turn their life for the better. We believe this song by HRVY and Matoma is a perfect finish as we look at the lovely genuine smile across our character’s features. Are you happily dancing along and crying because we know we are!
Yes, yes, we have not forgotten that we said Kelsea ballerini’s ‘Heartfirst‘ can make a return at the end of our little made-up plot. After our main character went through the experience of their lifetime, followed by a big personal transformation, they are now ready to face the world again with a more positive attitude. That means risking everything to find the right person, even if it hints at more heartbreaks. Eventually, it will lead to not only the one but also to a happier future.
