5 Reasons Why You Should Stan Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly has had a whirlwind of a career so far – he has been making music since 2007 and didn’t really “blow up” until 2020 with the release of his fifth album, Tickets To My Downfall. These past couple of years, the world has watched Machine Gun Kelly reinvent himself and reinvent the genre of pop-punk. To switch from mainly releasing rap music over to what many people had considered a “dead genre” takes real guts, and this is something we at THP truly admire about Kells. We could easily give you hundreds of reasons as to why you should stan Machine Gun Kelly, but here are five for now!

He’s Humble And Open

No matter how big he has gotten, Machine Gun Kelly has always remained humble. Kells has been very transparent with the media and his fans, often touching on his struggles with mental health and addiction in his music. He’s also never forgotten where he grew up, taking every opportunity he can to talk about his hometown Cleveland and the pride he feels to be from that city.

He Owns A Coffee Shop

Yes, you heard that right: MGK owns a coffee shop and who doesn’t like coffee? Talk about an entrepreneur. MGK’s coffee shop has everything from coffees to cocktails, so you are bound to find something you’ll like. This shop is named “27 Club Coffee to honor artists like Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Cobain who died at 27, and it’s located in his hometown of Cleveland.

He’s A Style Icon

Whether you already stan Machine Gun Kelly or not, we think we can all agree his sense of style is out of this world. His style plays a huge role in his self-expression and it has a broad range. He can go from a more casual look to wearing some real attention-grabbers. At times, Kells wears the most elaborate pieces and somehow always makes it look as if it was made for him – he’s even gone as far as to paint his tongue black for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

He Adores His Fans

MGK is always thinking of his fans – no matter how young or old you are, he is rooting for you and wants to see you succeed. On his most recent mainstream sellout tour, he brought several young fans to the stage, ensuring they had the best concert experience possible. The most recent young fan invited on stage was a 9-year-old drummer who played drums for him during ‘bloody valentine.’
