3 Things We Love About Toho’s New Song, ‘OFF’

As many of you know, we love romanticizing our life here at THP! Of course, in order for us to do that, we have a playlist of songs that are dreamy, nostalgic, and calming. Lucky for you, we’ll be sharing a beautiful song by South Korea-based singer and songwriter, Toho, that you should listen to. Without further delays, here are three things we love about Toho’s new song, ‘OFF!’

The Imagery

If you’re someone who loves photographing nature or likes taking long walks, we’re sure you’ll enjoy watching the ‘OFF’ music video. Why you may ask? Toho tells a story through the use of lovely scenery: city lights, cars passing by, rivers, bare trees, you name it. As you’re watching the clips, you’ll immediately feel immersed in the video. It feels as if life is simply passing by while everyone else continues to move and go about their day. But you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to sit back, be present, and appreciate what’s around you.

So, for our night owls who like going on late-night walks and drives, this is the perfect song for you!

The Lyrics

Besides the visuals in the video, it was nice seeing the lyrics flow along with each clip. Also, if you take a look at the lyrics, you’ll notice that right off the bat that it only makes sense for the majority of the video to take place during the nighttime. Personally, our favorite lyric was Drifting through the windless night.” We’ve all experienced loneliness at one point in our lives and walked down a “lonely lane,” so we’re sure this part of the song resonates with various people. What better way to tackle such feelings than listen to a tranquil song with a peaceful melody?

The Vocals

Once the song started and we heard the tune we were intrigued, and we’re glad we stayed for the entire video because the vocals did not disappoint! They match the overall vibe of ‘OFF’ and we can’t wait for Toho to release more ballad-type songs. Who knows? Maybe he’ll also release a few upbeat songs one day and give us a glimpse of his full vocal range?
