Taking A Chance On Electronic Production

As Wallows continues evolving, Cole’s desire to be a better musician keeps growing and growing. His remix of ‘Marvelous‘ adds an electronic feel to the song, a distinctive Cole feel. The beat sounds so fun and groovy!

I recently took up an interest in electronic music production and thought it would be a fun experiment to remix our own song. I’m honestly surprised it’s coming out and am excited for people to hear it.

He’s The Reason For The Title Tell Me That It’s Over

Wallows love to share the history behind their tracks, and throughout their TMTIO Track by Track YouTube series, they revealed that Cole is the creator of the album title Tell Me That It’s Over. The first demo they created after Nothing Happens was a rough version of ‘I Don’t Want to Talk.’ Cole sang the words “tell me that it’s over” to play with different sounds, which stuck until the final product. We love when spontaneous moments lead to genius results!

Our Favorite Wallows Tracks Sung By Cole

Cole’s vocals deserve way more recognition, so we have decided to gush over our favorite tracks sung by him!

‘Quarterback’: Duh, one of the best Wallows tracks! This song is such a hit, and we love it live! This is the first original Wallows song to feature Cole as the main vocalist, and we just can’t get enough of it. This track is perfect to get your friends into the band!

‘On Time’: This song is included in the deluxe version of Remote, and it’s so gorgeous. Cole’s voice adds so much emotion to the track, alongside a very tender instrumental. It’s safe to say that ‘On Time’ is one of the best songs from this EP.

‘Missing Out’: Cole joins Braeden in the chorus of the 7th track of Tell Me That It’s Over. Their part together explodes on such a great instrumental, making it the climax of the song. It’s one of our favorite songs from this album!
