So an artist releases a song that’s doing well. What’s the next step? Releasing a fire new remix of course! Adding someone else to an already amazing song and adding a few alterations can instantly send the single to the charts.
But there are just so many options out there, and some aren’t exactly improvements. So which ones should you actually listen to? We think these six are solid examples of remixes gone right.
‘Girls Make Me Wanna Die’ – The Aces ft. No Rome
We’ve been listening to The Aces’ newest song ‘Girls Make Me Wanna Die‘ nonstop ever since they released it. But releasing this new remix with No Rome has definitely been a game-changer. This one has definitely made its way to our party playlist, and we think you’ll want to add it to yours too.
‘Words [Majestic Remix]’ – Alesso ft. Zara Larsson
Alesso has released a package of four completely different new remixes of his single ‘Words’ with Zara Larsson. While we love all of the different versions of this song, the majestic remix is definitely our favorite.
’34+35′ – Ariana Grande ft. Doja Cat & Megan Thee Stallion
With Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion all singing together we knew there was no way this would be anything less than perfect. This is quite easily one of our favorite remixes to ever exist, it’s just so iconic.
‘Heavy Action’ – Marshmello
Did we think we needed a remix of the well-known ESPN song ‘Heavy Action?’ Well… no, we never really gave it much thought. However, Marshmello has remixed the iconic sound to be even more upbeat and we’re hoping this new version will be the one we hear all the time.
‘Immortals’ – Fall Out Boy ft. Black Thought
Fall Out Boy released an entire remix album titled Make America Psycho Again back in 2015. But out of the 11 songs, ‘Immortals’ is our favorite by far. While the song is definitely changed, it’s not as drastic as some remixes, which we appreciated.
‘Ocean Eyes (Astronomy Remix)’ – Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish‘s breakout single ‘Ocean Eyes’ has been changed so many times we can’t even keep count of all the different versions. We think we may just like the astronomy remix the best though!
