Taco Bell has partnered with Pete Davidson… to say sorry? Yeah, the taco chain that is usually synonymous with late nights and the comedian have joined forces to apologize for going “a little too far on the Live Más scale”. The chain produced two ad spots with Davidson’s ‘The Apology’ and ‘Bell Breakfast’.
In the first ad called ‘The Apology,’ Davidson tells us that Taco Bell really did get a little out of hand with breakfast creations like the naked egg taco and waffle taco. In the ad, Davidson says that in the morning “you need fluffy eggs, melty cheese, sausage, and hashbrowns all wrapped up in a warm tortilla.” This is what Davidson calls the “breakfast crunch thing”. The second ad, aka ‘Bell Breakfast’ has Davidson daydreaming about his perfect breakfast, before he wakes up at the counter of a Taco Bell.
In a statement, the brand promises that they won’t take the intensity of their breakfast past 11 before 11:00 AM. Davidson, who could be referred to as the ‘Taco Bell Brand Apologist’ said “I like to think I might be the muse behind Live Más, which is probably why they brought me on to apologize for their maybe-too-extreme innovations in the mornings.”
If you want to live in Davidson’s ‘Bell Breakfast’ dream you will have that chance. From October 20 to October 23 Taco Bell is transforming three locations across the United States. These limited time only pop up’s will be located with limited seating, on the Las Vegas strip, Wrigleyville in Chicago, and the Times Square Cantina in New York City. The best part, these ‘Bell Breakfast’ locations will be serving all-day breakfast so you can get your “breakfast crunch thing” at any time of day while supplies last.
Will you be trying to head to one of these Bell Breakfast pop up’s when they open up? Do you have a favorite of the two new ads? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @TheHoneyPop
