As we’re sure you know, we at The Honey Pop absolutely adore Little Mix, and before you ask, yes, we are still trying to recover from the finale of The Confetti Tour back in May. Since the beginning of their indefinite hiatus, we have, of course, been keeping up with each of the girls; from anticipating Perrie’s solo projects to saving up to buy everything from Leigh-Anne’s ‘In A Seashell’ brand, we are still dedicated Mixers. Our favorite thing to do during the hiatus, however, has been checking Jade’s Instagram.
Why are we obsessed with Jade’s Instagram, you ask? Well, for two reasons: firstly, we love Jade, and secondly, we are obsessed with her fashion sense. While Jade thinks that some of her X-Factor-era looks were questionable (bowties and suspenders, we’re talking about you specifically), Jade has become somewhat of a fashion icon in recent years, and she never fails to turn a look. So, we’re here to talk about five times that Jade Thirlwall proved that she was a fashion icon.
Her RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Appearance
Jade has always been a very loud and proud supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and has often voiced her love of RuPaul’s Drag Race. We were incredibly excited to see her as a guest judge on the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and she certainly did not disappoint. As well as giving helpful critiques as a judge, Jade was also styled impeccably well, wearing a Halpern baby blue mini dress and pairing it with a matching pair of Pleaser suede platform heels. She complimented the look with a white feather boa and blue eye shadow, making her look effortlessly chic and stylish.
Jade’s Interview Magazine Photoshoot
This look has actually convinced us that Jade Thirlwall invented the color green because it looks so good on her. Everything about this outfit is perfect; from Jade’s hairstyle to the Sinead Gorey jacket and skirt set, we are obsessed with this look. Jade pairs the skirt and jacket with a matching pair of Sinead Gorey shoes, perfectly complementing her lime green eye shadow. This look is giving 2000’s Bratz doll, and we absolutely love that for Jade. We have no choice but to stan!
The ‘Bounce Back’ Music Video
Jade stunned us with another green look for the ‘Bounce Back’ music video, further proving our theory that she actually invented the color. Here, Jade wore a dress and matching gloves from Miscreants, adding a pop of color with her neon pink hair clips that perfectly matched her heels and the fluffy lining of the gloves. In case you haven’t noticed by now, feathers and fluffy pieces, in general, are a staple of Jade’s styling, making her look incredibly luxurious and trendy.
Little Mix’s Euphoria Magazine Cover
As much as we love every photo shoot the girls have done, the Euphoria magazine cover may just be our all-time favorite Little Mix magazine cover shoot. Jade wore a very sophisticated look, opting for a pink Sisterhood skirt and jacket set. She paired this with a custom-made Ella Roberts corset that we are seriously jealous of. Jade looked so elegant in this shoot that we couldn’t resist putting her outfit on this list!
Jade’s Modelling Look For The Lil Nas X and Christian Cowan Collection
We 👏🏻 stan 👏🏻 model 👏🏻 Jade! In late 2020, Lil Nas X launched a collaborative collection with fashion designer Christian Cowan, using a variety of celebrity faces to showcase the impressive and unique range. Since Lil Nas X and Jade are good friends, we weren’t surprised to see her pop up in this collection, but we were nevertheless stunned by her look. Jade wore a stunning metallic lavender jacket and black latex pants, matching the collection’s edgy vibe with an equally as edgy and fun hairstyle. We seriously can’t wait to see more of both fashion designer Lil Nas X and model Jade in the future!
