You Me At Six Has The Cure To All Our Problems, And It’s ‘:mydopamine:’

With the release of their new album, Truth Decay, being less than a month away, You Me At Six has given us another single to absolutely obsess over as we count down the final days. Their newest single, ‘:mydopamine:,‘ is the exact kind of love song we’ve come to expect from You Me At Six. Highly relatable and goes hard as h*ll.

‘:mydopamine:’ talks about being in a relationship with someone who is a source of light in your life. The person you want to grow with, explore with and go through hard times with. With lines like, “You are, My favorite memoir, So let’s empty the mini bar. And stare at all the stars,” how could you not want this in every playlist you have ever or will ever make?

The lead singer of You Me At Six, Josh Franceschi, had this to say about the new single:

“Dopamine is the body’s feel-good chemical, it’s responsible for allowing you to have pleasure, satisfaction and motivation. This song is about someone being that for you, making you feel good, making you feel alive.”

It’s safe to say we can’t wait to get our hands on Truth Decay as fast as we can. Every single has been an absolute banger matched with honest and real lyricism from the band. It’s no secret You Me At Six helped create the emo scene we know and love today. So watching them remind us exactly why they were one of the bands to do while embracing where emo is still evolving to has had us in our feels.
