We first fell in love with LA based folk-pop singer/songwriter, Temme Scott when we listened to ‘Softly’ for the first time. And believe us when we say we’ve listened to it many times over. She recently announced that her new album is set to be released in September, which we’re beyond excited for! Alongside the announcement, she released another new single ‘Contract Killer’ and we’re absolutely obsessed.
“‘Contract Killer’ speaks to the assumed “contract” between two people in love — one of trust, intimacy, and unfailing honesty. Being a contract killer means you’ve broken such a contract implicitly.”

‘Contract Killer’
‘Contract Killer’ is a heartbreakingly beautiful song about betrayal of trust. This folk-pop track is full of raw emotion shown both with Temme Scott’s vocals and with lyrics like, “I said I needed space and the space got thinner / cause one bad night’s like a self-help thriller / and I’m no quitter.” We love how she’s not afraid to be vulnerable with listeners through her music.
