Last Thursday at Thalia Hall in Chicago, Say She She with Katzú Oso came through. Both bands brought amazing vibes and groovy music, keeping everyone dancing throughout the night.

Katzú Oso
Katzú Oso kicked off the night with a blend of melodic sounds, synthesizers, and lively tempos. His upbringing heavily influenced his style in East LA, Boyle Heights, and Latino culture. During his performance, he showcased songs from his latest album, La Conexión.
A memorable moment was when Katzú invited audience members to perform their best grito—a high-pitched, cathartic, and joyful vocal shout used in mariachi music to express emotion, pride, and celebration. It brought him so much joy to look at the audience during that interaction he shared with them. His set was such a great way to set up the rest of the night.

Say She She
Whoever said that disco is dead clearly hasn’t listened to Say She She. With their disco-funk melodies, they had everyone dancing nonstop from the moment they stepped on stage. Their energy was so electric and radiant throughout the entire performance that if we could bottle it up and bring it home, we definitely would, given how incredible that atmosphere was.

They performed tracks from their latest album, Cut & Rewind, released last October. Going into the show, we weren’t familiar with either group, but after that show, neither group can say they have a new fan amongst them. They already have an amazing fan base.
