THP’s Hot Alt Alert: HUNNY, The Menzingers, Magnolia Park, And More!

Get ready because this week’s Hot Alt Alert is absolutely stacked with new music from The Menzingers, Magnolia Park, and HUNNY, just to name a few. So many amazing new songs dropped and as always, we’re here to tell you about the best of the best. Some you might have been listening to throughout the week and some may just be your new favorite songs! Without further ado, let’s dive in.

The Menzingers — ‘There’s No Place In This World For Me’

First up is The Menzingers’ new song. They released it earlier this week and also announced they’ll be on tour this fall! We loved their last single, ‘Bad Actors’ and it’s upbeat vibe. But this one just hurts so good, with the overall vibe of the song and the hard hitting lyrics. Honestly, this is a song that’s meant to be played on repeat while lying on your bedroom floor.

HUNNY — ‘solo’

This is HUNNY’s third single from their new album, Hunny’s New Planet Heaven, which drops October 6th via Epitaph Records. We absolutely loved their previous singles, ‘action –> reaction’ and ‘big star.’ This love song is just so incredibly sweet and catchy. It’ll definitely get stuck in your head, but you won’t be complaining. We didn’t think it was possible, but we’re even more stoked for their new album now.

Nothing’s sweeter than more HUNNY content.

Magnolia Park — ‘Breathing’ (feat. nothing, nowhere)

Our fave Florida pop punk band released a new song and exciting news. They’re not just releasing one, but two (2) EPs, Moon Eater, and Soul Eater on August 18th via Epitaph Records. Seriously, no one’s going as hard as Mag Park. Like all of their other songs, ‘Breathing’ is an absolute banger!

Cinema Stare — ‘Remember’

Okay, so this song came out back in May, but we’re still listening to it for two reasons.
1. It’s a banger, as is the entirety of their latest album, The Things I Don’t Need.
2. They just announced they’re going on tour with Waiver and 5ever!
Believe us when we say that Cinema Stare is one of the best new pop punk bands in the scene, which is why you need to see them live. You can check out the tour dates and also their whole discography, you know, if you want to know the lyrics to all of their songs before you see them live.

Wilmette — ‘Circa ’99’

If you’re a pop punk fan, typically the first thing you’ll think of when you hear “Wilmette” is Fall Out Boy. But now, you’ll also think of the amazing pop punk band with the same name. ‘Circa ’99’ just radiates the angsty pop punk energy that we all love. Their new album Hyperfocused drops August 4th via Mutant League Records and you can pre-order it now.
