EMBLEM3, consisting of Drew Chadwick, Wesley Stromberg, and Keaton Stromberg, started taking over the world in 2012, when competing on Season 2 of The X-Factor USA alongside Fifth Harmony. They wowed the judges, getting a standing ovation from the crowd at their auditions with their talent and also, they’re good looks! Since X-Factor, they’ve taken a few breaks but have been making headlines again as they have new things coming soon. We are beside ourselves with excitement here at THP HQ. You need to get on our level, so in case you aren’t already all over this handsome trio, here are 5 reasons why you should stan EMBLEM3.
They Make Some Absolute Bangers
The first reason why you should stan EMBLEM3 is how hard their music goes. From their upbeat-feel good-debut single ‘Chloe (You’re The One I Want),’ to slow sad songs like ‘Jaiden‘ and even their shady song ‘Too Pretty (For Your Own Good),’ EMBLEM3 are sure to wow you with their music no matter what mood you’re feeling. Not to mention, they’ve been writing their own songs long before they ever auditioned for X-Factor. This skill, among other attributes, is exactly what led them to win Choice Music: Breakout Group at the Teen Choice Awards in 2013.
The Trio Can’t Stay Away From Each Other
Besides the fact that Wesley and Keaton are brothers, Wesley and Drew first became friends while in middle school in Sequim, Washington. Wesley then moved to Huntington Beach, California and after moving all across the west coast, Drew joined him. Keaton followed soon after, and EMBLEM3 was born in 2007. There have been times they’ve gone on breaks or even broken up entirely, but they have always come back together. This is a massive reason why you should stan this incredible band – the absolutely sense of relief that they always come back together, as we still wait for other groups to do the same!
They Made It Pretty Far On The X-Factor
The Trio auditioned for The X-Factor USA in 2012, singing their original song ‘Sunset Blvd,’ a risk that even record executive and X-Factor judge, L.A. Reid, questioned. In the end, all the judges were super impressed, with Simon Cowell even predicting “Big things going forward” for them. They left with 4/4 judges saying yes, showing another stellar reason why you should stan these talented boys. The group went on to display their talent with various cover performances, quickly becoming a fan favorite. Unfortunately, like most great singing groups that got their start on X-Factor, they were pre-maturely eliminated at the semi-finals, just one spot away from the grand final, and placed 4th on The X-Factor overall.
They Just Released New Music
Yes, you heard that right. After announcing an indefinite hiatus back in 2016 and spending time pursuing other projects, they have come back to EMBLEM3 to release a new song titled ‘Champagne Dreams.’ Sticking true to their reggae-pop vibe in the past, their new single, ‘Champagne Dreams,’ brings out the same sound with more modern lyrics like mentioning Fashion Nova dresses and their fellow X-Factor alumni Camila Cabello. The band describes the song as “a warm getaway in a sometimes frigid world. It paints the picture of perfection shared with a significant other. A party anthem for everyone to dance to and sing along with, perfectly capturing the essence of summertime.”
They’re Going On Tour This Summer
Now that you know how fantastic, talented, and dedicated the band is, it’s time to plan to see them on tour! The band has just announced their Eyes Wide Open tour, which will occur this August in 6 different cities all across the USA. You can get your tickets right here! You can even meet the band by upgrading your ticket to one of the three VIP packages they are offering per show, but be sure to act quickly because tickets are limited, and specific packages in certain cities are already selling out!
